HARTING has launched its first device in which switch functionality resides directly in the connector, making it possible to network four EtherNet/IP or PROFINET nodes with transmission speeds of up to 1,000Mb/s. The US4 connector incorporates an integrated Ethernet switch as well as LEDs to provide quick and easy power and network diagnostics for individual ports.

HARTING has announced its white coloured 2.54mm pitch SMT har-flexicon PCB terminal block connectors for LED lighting applications. The connectors support reliable long-term installation of LED modules (assembled from LED arrays mounted on rigid and thermally conductive substrates for optimal heat dissipation) into a wide variety of applications such as high/low bay indoor lighting, street lighting, floodlighting and emergency lighting.

HARTING will be showing the ruggedised computer, MICA at the Drives and Controls show (NEC, Birmingham, 12th-14th April). This is the first time the MICA industrial computer will be seen in the UK. HARTING expects to have its MICA ruggedised computers available to the market this summer.

HARTING’s PushPull 20-pin connectors extend the HARTING V4 range and are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of camera and sensor applications. They can be loaded with up to 2A per contact which is more than enough for camera technology and to power various types of sensors. Using a joint cable to supply both power and effect signal transmission saves additional wiring – and therefore costs – for the customer.

In response to market demand for connectors for increasingly smaller, decentralised control and drive technology, HARTING has introduced har-flex THR variants designed to meet the demands of harsh industrial conditions. These new connectors also achieve new levels of industrial grade miniaturisation without decreasing reliability.

HARTING has added a number of contacts to the Han-Fast Lock PCB connector family, giving designers more options for the quick and easy connection of high-current conductors to PCBs. The Han-Fast Lock PCB connector is designed to meet the demands posed by high electrical currents while offering simple handling in a compact configuration.

HARTING has installed an EV charging point using HARTING connectivity solutions at its premises in Northampton. The charging station, manufactured by RWE Effizienz, uses vehicle charging connectors supplied by HARTING Automotive, which are available in all three globally used plug system versions (with the corresponding approvals) for the common AC charging interface.

HARTING has announced a connector technology which can replace standard discrete wiring by allowing power I/O connectors to be mounted and connected directly onto the PCB. The HanOnBoard concept allows Han connectors to be connected to the board via a PCB mounted adapter through which data, signals and power are distributed, eliminates time-consuming and potentially fault-prone wiring.

HARTING will feature a range of infrastructure and connectivity solutions for the rail industry at Infrarail, 12th to 14th April, 2016, at the ExCel, London. Key products on show will include the M12 push pull range of robust circular connectors, Han Modular heavy-duty connectors, customised inter-car jumper cables and high-speed backplane solutions.

Extending its Han-Eco lightweight plastic connector series, HARTING announces slimline housings in sizes 10 A and 16 A to provide compact, space-saving interconnects. The Han-Eco A series includes hoods with straight or lateral cable entry, bulkhead or surface-mounted housing and cable to cable hood. In addition, flexible protection covers are available for retrofitting to bulkhead and surface-mounted housings.

HARTING has introduced an M12 PushPull adaptor that enables the use of unthreaded connectors in existing applications with a standard flange. This enables quick and secure mating in a highly compact design. The unthreaded locking mechanism of the M12 PushPull connector allows quick and secure mating without the use of additional tools and indicates correct assembly with a clearly audible click.

HARTING has expanded its har-speed range of industrial connectors with an X-coded M12 panel feed-through that is supplied complete with a length of cable allowing it to be integrated directly into Gigabit Ethernet systems. The feed-through arrives at the customer fully assembled and ready to install and can be put into operation immediately.

Helping new users understand the ease and flexibility of configuring RFID solutions, a new development kit from Harting enables users to configure their own applications, as well as familiarise themselves with the functionality and terminology used.

HARTING has extended its product portfolio for Gigabit Ethernet connectivity by introducing a female version of the M12 slim design connector. The new connector complements the existing male version, so that all the company's compact M12 variants are now available in crimp connection technology.

At this year's SPS IPC Drives trade fair in Nuremberg, 24th to 26th November, HARTING will demonstrate its innovative products and solutions.
