Achieve reliable data transmission in railway applications
A high-performance coaxial connector, the Han Coax ETCS, has been introduced by HARTING. Designed for railway and harsh industrial applications, the connector's crimp flange incorporates an additional crimp barrel. This secures the screening braid permanently with high mechanical and electrical integrity, while also providing strain relief for the cable.
Industrial connector hoods increase flexibility
Expanding the Han-Compact series of industrial connector hoods, HARTING has released a plastic version featuring combined straight and lateral cable outlets. Since only one type number need be used for several different applications, the hood enables increases flexibility in mounting arrangements and simplifies ordering and logistics.
Ethernet switches utilise PoE+ to deliver more power
Enabling four Ethernet Switch ports to be simultaneously deployed for the supply of power, HARTING has announced the Ha-VIS eCon Ethernet switches. Using the higher-power variant PoE+ standard (based on IEEE 802.3at) to offer power levels of up to 34.2W, the Ethernet switches provide more power to connected system devices, significantly increasing the variety of potential applications.
Hall-effect sensors measure DC or AC current to 800A
Based on the open-loop measurement principle, the Hall-effect Current Sensors Eco (HCSE) family has been introduced by HARTING. The sensors can measure direct or alternating currents in the range of 100-800A, providing a direct representation of the primary current with an accuracy of up to ±1%.
RFID system to be featured at PLASA London 2014
An RFID system from HARTING is to be featured at PLASA London 2014. The Ha-VIS RFID system can be applied for improved asset management in the theatre and touring environment. By combining rugged, high-performance RFID readers with powerful data pre-processing, the system ensures high-speed data transmission and optimum dynamic network performance.
RFID transponder operates from -50 to +160°C
A RFID transponder suitable for use in harsh environments, has been released by HARTING. Due to its combination of robustness, high protection and resistance to high temperatures, the Ha-VIS RFID VT 86 (HT) performs particularly well in harsh environments. The transponder measures 41x11x5.15mm, has a memory of 3kB and an operating temperature of -50 to +160°C.
Connectors designed for potentially explosive areas
Meeting the requirements for the implementation of high-quality connectivity solutions in application areas with explosion protection requirements, HARTING has introduced the Han Ex range of connectors. These are suited for use in applications in mining and the chemical and process automation industries.
RFID technology enhances industrial connectors
Now incorporating RFID transponders, HARTING’s Han family of industrial connectors allow specific data on the connector configuration to be linked with factory IT systems. This helps processes such as the ordering of spare parts. UV and ozone resistant materials and seals offer optimum protection against external physical influences and a temperature range from -40 to +125°C.
RFID transponder meets EN 50155 standard
The HARTING Ha-VIS RF-R500 RFID transponder has been successfully tested in accordance with the European Standard EN 50155 for deployment on railway rolling stock. The EN 50155 standard lays down stringent conditions regarding electromagnetic compatibility, shock and vibration.
HARTING features connectivity solutions for security applications
HARTING has introduced two new families of unmanaged Ethernet switches that are optimised for use in industrial environments and offer a choice of compact designs for economy and ease of installation. With over 200 different models to choose from, along with a choice of RJ45 or fibre-optic cable ports, the HARTING Ha-VIS eCon 2000 and 3000 unmanaged Ethernet switches enable the cost-effective expansion of existing network infrastructures as well ...
HARTING introduces 5-year service package for Ethernet switches
HARTING has introduced a 5-year service package that provides users with additional protection beyond statutory warranty claims for HARTING Ethernet switches in the event of a product or workmanship defect.
Connectors enhance versatility in harsh environments
The M12 industrial connector family has been expanded by HARTING with the introduction of two versions designed to enhance its versatility in harsh environments: a “press and go” custom cable assembly technology and an outdoor M12 connector based on V4A grade stainless steel. The “press and go” concept is designed to combine the ruggedness of moulded cable connections with the flexibility of custom cable ass...
Feed-through connector eases industrial cable installation
A robust pluggable feed-through connector, designed to house the Han-Yellock connector family, is now being offered by HARTING. In addition to easing the laying of cable through different rooms in industrial environments, the panel feed-through also offers considerable robustness along with an IP 67 degree of protection in the plugged-in condition.
Connector portfolio expanded to include IP65 degree of protection
A locking system that speeds cable-to-cable connection has been added to Harting's Han Hood Link portfolio. The connectors allow the connection of two standard HARTING 16B hoods while simultaneously achieving an IP 65 degree of protection.
Switches are optimised for harsh industrial environments
Offering a choice of compact designs in a variety of customer applications, two families of unmanaged Ethernet switches have been launched by HARTING. Optimised for use in harsh industrial environments, the “plug & play” switches can be easily and quickly put into operation. Two different compact, space-saving housing designs designed for “top hat” rail mounting guarantee the best possible use of availab...
Robust M12 connectors for up to 10Gb/s applications
