AI-utilisation platform aids design & manufacturing
Fujitsu has announced the addition of an expert consulting service for the use of AI technology at design and manufacturing sites to its MONOZUKURI Total Support Solutions, which support customer manufacturing. This service will be available in Japan starting October 2016. As its platform, the service will use the MONOZUKURI AI Framework to systemise functions for incorporating AI into manufacturing locations.
IoT collaboration boosts manufacturing
A field trial carried out by Fujitsu, in partnership with Intel, is visualising manufacturing processes at Shimane Fujitsu, which primarily manufactures notebook PCs. The field trial linked the FUJITSU Cloud Service IoT Platform with the Intel IoT Gateway.
Enabling rapid countermeasures to a cyber attack
A technology that has been developed by Fujitsu Laboratories that can rapidly analyse damage status after a cyber attack has been detected on a specific organisation.
Sensor measures gas components in people's breath
Fujitsu Laboratories announced that it has developed a portable breath sensor that can extract and quickly measure the concentration of only specified gas components, such as ammonia, that are included at low concentrations in people's breath and are suggested to be correlated with lifestyle diseases. This sensor makes it easy to identify molecules that previously could only be identified using large analysis instruments.
Single camera enables panoramic understanding of remote field sites
Fujitsu Laboratories announced that it has developed a technology that generates synthesised 3D panoramic screens to fully understand conditions throughout a worksite for on-site maintenance, inspection and other work. Using time series images taken from a worker-side camera, when combined with augmented reality (AR) technology, remotely supporting operators can use that image to provide precise, omnidirectional instructions to field workers.
Fujitsu develops platform to easily manage range of IoT devices
Fujitsu Laboratories and Fujitsu R&D Centre has announced the development of a software platform that enables the centralised and stable management of operating status for a variety of sensors, devices and gateways, as well as the condition of the network that connects them.
Mini ITX boards based on the AMD Embedded G-series SoC
Expanding its D3313-S Mini-ITX board family, Fujitsu has announced that sixth version of the board is equipped with a powerful Quadcore SoC with 2.4GHz. The D3313-S6 is particularly suitable for use with graphics-intensive applications, for example in the field of digital signage and medical technology. As an industrial motherboard the product is designed for 24/7 continuous operation and an extended temperature range from 0 to +60°C.
