Quarter bricks modules have universal train appeal
DC/DC converters from Flex Power Modules have a wide input range (12/14V to 160V) for railway rolling stock. The fully encapsulated PKM7500W and PKM7100W have I/O protection to prevent damage to converters and powered devices, adds the company.
High power density 15A/50W output digital PoL regulator
Flex Power Modules announces the BMR4615001/001, a new variant of its popular BMR461 series of digital point-of-load (PoL) regulators. The new module provides up to 15A/50W at an adjustable output voltage of 0.6 to 3.3V, which equates to a 25% higher current and power delivery at 3.3V than the previous 12A maximum for that voltage. The input voltage range of the device is 4.5 to 14V.
Cost-efficient ultra-miniature PoL regulators
Flex Power Modules introduces the PMU8000 series of Point-of-Load (PoL) converters, providing a good price/performance ratio in a compact, low-profile package. The new regulators offer high efficiency of typically 95.3 % (at half load) and high thermal performance, meaning they can be used in harsh conditions.
Active current sharing DC/DC converter for Datacom applications
Flex Power Modules has introduced the BMR490 DC/DC converter with active current sharing. The current sharing capability enables two or more converters to be used in parallel for demanding Datacom applications, thus delivering higher power on a single rail and improving redundancy.
Encapsulated sixteenth-brick DC/DC converters for industrial applications
A new series of DC/DC power modules has been introduced by Flex Power Modules, with the PKU-S series, for the industrial/railway and telecom sectors, which aim to provide highly reliable, high performance and rugged DC/DC solutions. The modules are housed in the industry-standard sixteenth-brick form factor (35.3x25x10.4mm), with sealed and encapsulated packaging.
Efficient industrial DC/DC converter range expanded
Several new additions to the PKE series of DC/DC power converter modules have been introduced by Flex Power Modules, for the industrial, test equipment and telecom sectors. The modules are provided in sealed and encapsulated packaging, to ensure they will work reliably when subjected to dust, moisture, severe vibration and other harsh conditions.
Ultra wide DC/DC converters for industrial and railway applications
Flex Power Modules introduced the PKE-A series of DC-DC power modules for the industrial and railways sectors, broadening its product range to meet increasing demand in these sectors. The modules are provided in sealed and encapsulated packaging, to ensure they will work reliably when subjected to dust, moisture, severe vibration and other harsh conditions.
Digital PoL regulator for high power density ICT applications
Flex Power Modules has introduced the BMR469 family, a digital Point-of-Load (PoL) regulator that is suitable for high current ICT applications. The BMR469 delivers high power density, up to 160A per square inch, which saves valuable board space. Two variants with different output currents are available, both in compact packages.
DC/DC converter in quarter-brick format
The launch of the BMR490, a non-isolated digital IBC (Intermediate Bus Converter) DC/DC converter with an output power of 1,300W in the quarter-brick form factor, has been announced by Flex Power Modules. The new converter combines very high power density with excellent thermal performance in a price-sensitive design, making it ideal for demanding applications such as data centres.
DC/DC converter in a sixteenth-brick footprint
A DC/DC converter in the sixteenth-brick form factor that can provide output power up to 260W, at an output voltage of 10.4V has been introduced by Flex Power Modules, with the PKU4217D. It claims to be the world’s smallest converter available in the market that can deliver this level of power.
DC/DC converters for high-volume microwave applications
Two new isolated DC/DC converters, the PKU4611A and PKU4617A, have been introduced by Flex Power Modules in the sixteenth-brick form factor. The new converters are ideal for low-power radio frequency power amplifier (RFPA) requirements within small cell radios and microwave applications. They offer a wide output trim range, which is optimised for the needs of low-power radio designs that require a five to seven volt supply.
System designer adds thermal simulation to cut time to market
A major upgrade has been introduced by Flex Power Modules, for its Flex Power Designer software for digital power system design, adding thermal simulation capabilities. The new features will enable designers to reduce development time, helping cut time to market, and to minimise the risk of weaknesses in their power system design.
