Essemtec’s new business unit Essemsol combines parts of development and production in order to shorten the realization time for customer-specific solutions. Essemsol is Essemtec’s response to its increased number of exceptional machine solutions.

VERMES Technik, the manufacturer of fast piezoelectric dispensing valves, has been spun out of the Woellner Group and turned into VERMES Microdispensing GmbH. The two new stockholders are Essemtec and Promess.

SMD Placement machines from Essemtec can identify the PCB using a bar-code label. This feature allows the assignment of placement and component data which is unique to a product. Thus quality assurance and traceability of an in-line production can get much easier.

SMD assembly systems from Essemtec can now mark the printed circuit board with an identification label while placing components. The integrated labeler delivers on demand a label with bar code, matrix code, date or serial numbers.

Essemtec introduced the CLM979 Radial Component Feeder that enables the assembly of through-hole LEDs on a standard pick-and-place machine. The feeder releases LEDs from the tape, cuts the wire ends and prepares the component for pickup.

Essemtec’s new stencil printers SP004 and SP150 print more accurately and are simpler to set up than their predecessors. The tabletop printer SP004 is a further development of the SP003, and the semiautomatic printer SP150 features a new option: the automatic electronic squeegee pressure regulation. Both printers will be on display at the upcoming Productronica 2009 exhibition in Munich this coming November.
