For the 18th time, a jury of industry experts will reward outstanding achievements in development technology on 21 June, the first day of the trade fair. 

With the embedded world Exhibition&Conference taking place from 21-23 June 2022, Nuremberg will become a hub for knowledge transfer, and dialogue among embedded systems developers, international specialists, and decision makers.

To meet multiple requests from registered exhibitors and enable all participants to plan with the maximum possible confidence, the embedded world Exhibition & Conference 2022 has been rescheduled: in close consultation with exhibitors the decision has been taken to postpone the exhibition and accompanying conferences until the 21st to the 23rd of June, 2022.

Real-Time Innovations (RTI) will be exhibiting live on site at embedded world 2022. The company presents its connectivity solution for autonomous systems, which is proven across several markets including Industrial Automation, Robotics, Medical and Automotive. At booth 4-443, RTI will showcase Connext Drive, the connectivity software for next generation vehicles.

This year the embedded world show ventured into uncharted waters and took place as a digital event for the first time in its history. Despite the restrictions in place due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the show still featured a packed agenda, taking place over five full days. Dr Reinhard Ploss, CEO, Infineon Technologies, kicked-off this year’s embedded world exhibition, which is of course taking place solely as a digital event.

Last year, as COVID-19 was getting warmed up, embedded world was one of the last events to be able to go ahead in a physical format. However, with the crisis ongoing, this year the show has transitioned to a digital-only event. Electronic Specifier’s Alex Lynn caught up with Benedikt Weyerer, the show's Director Exhibitions, to find out what visitors can expect this year.

The embedded world Exhibition & Conference will take place next year as a completely digital event. Both the trade fair and accompanying conferences, the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference, will be held as virtual formats under the name embedded world DIGITAL.

This Thursday, 27th February, the Student Day at embedded world took place for the eleventh time in a row. The participants took advantage of the opportunity to learn about innovations in embedded system technologies. 

embedded world 2020 will take place as planned from 25th to 27th February 2020 at the Nürnberg exhibition centre. NürnbergMesse is taking a comprehensive package of measures to ensure that exhibitors and visitors can participate in the exhibition safely and comfortably. 

The format of the expert talks at embedded world is well established and extremely well received. Following the highly successful previous events in the series, the popular panel discussions on Safety & Security, Embedded Vision and Embedded Intelligence will be held once again in 2020. This year will see the launch of a new discussion round on the subject of ‘Chinese Embedded’.

The startup area and the pavilion for innovative young companies is opening the door to newcomers to the international embedded community and creating two opportunities for firms to gain a foothold in this environment at embedded world 2020.

In its 17th year, embedded world impressed the global embedded community and reportedly excelled across the board. The results for visitor and exhibitor numbers and display area were outstanding: around 31,000 trade visitors, the second best visitor total since the trade fair began, and 1,117 companies from all over the world flocked to the eight percent larger display area at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.

The embedded awards were presented once again at the traditional awards ceremony on 26th February 2019. For the 15th time, the coveted industry accolades recognised the most innovative development achievements in the traditional categories hardware, software and tools. For the first time this year, prizes were also awarded in the new categories embedded vision and startups. 

More than two decades ago, the event that was the precursor to the embedded world conference had put the spotlight on embedded intelligence. Back then, it was more of a vision of the future; in the meantime, embedded intelligence is becoming more and more relevant and is shaping an increasing number of systems.

Following the success of the event in the last three years, the panel discussion on 27th February, the second day of the embedded world Exhibition & Conference 2019, will enter its fourth round. Under the theme ‘Safe for the Future’, Exhibition Centre Nuremberg will once cover all aspects of the safety and security of embedded systems and the protection of computers and communication channels. 

For the first time ever there will be a start-up area at the embedded world, which will take place at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 26th to 28th February 2019. The special presentation area at the heart of the trade fair offers young companies from the embedded technology sector an opportunity to present themselves to the international embedded community.

The embedded world is developing brilliantly, the prospects are good for the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference, the programs of which are already available. The motto for this year’s embedded world Conference is ‘Embedded Intelligence’, focusing on a central issue in the industry. The electronic displays Conference deals with the latest topics relating to OLEDs and touchscreens.

The Student Day has long been established as one of the highlights of the embedded world Exhibition&Conference, which is taking place for the 10th time in 2019. The crowning touch on the third day of the fair will be the presentation ‘Maps as Collective Brains for Vehicle Automation’ by Dr Ralf G. Herrtwich, Senior Vice President Automotive, HERE Technologies.
