Bluetooth support for Apple HomeKit

Dialog Semiconductor has announced a Bluetooth Smart development kit, with full support for Apple HomeKit, to accelerate development of smart home accessories. In a recent report on the connected home, BI Intelligence predicts that the smart home market will grow at an annual rate of 67% between now and 2019, resulting in 1.8bn accessories being shipped in that year.

PMIC enables 2S Li batteries for thinner computing

Dialog Semiconductor has introduced the DA9312, a PMIC that enables the design of smaller, thinner notebooks and tablets powered by dual cell stacked (2S) Li-ion or Li-Polymer batteries. The notebook industry is moving towards designs powered by 2-cell, rather than 3-cell batteries and tablets are moving from single cell to 2-cell batteries. Dialog calls its DA9312 the 'most integrated power management solution currently available'.

SSL LED driver solves dimmer compatibility issues

An SSL LED driver, designed to solve dimmer compatibility issues in challenging, low-voltage lighting applications, has been released by Dialog Semiconductor. Wearable device utilises energy efficient Bluetooth Smart IC
