It is available with 23 inductance values ranging from 2.6-820nH, with two percent tolerance available for most values. The 0805HP series features a wirewound construction for self resona...
The highest inductance in the industry's smallest package
Coilcraft has introduced its new 0201HL Series of chip inductors available in seven inductance values ranging from 22 to 51 nH, the highest currently offered in a wirewound 0201 package. This inductance range is fully optimised for impedance matching in 700 MHz LTE and 5G applications. The 0201HL Series also provides the highest Q factors currently available in that package size — up to 62 at 2.4 GHz.
Power inductor selection tool provides more performance data
A new suite of power inductor selection tools has been launched by Coilcraft that allows users to easily select the appropriate path for their particular search while also providing more application-specific performance data than previously available on any industry site. Len Crane, Coilcraft's Director of Technical Marketing, will be previewing the tool at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC 2017) in Tampa, Florida.
Low-loss power inductors for high frequency applications
A range of high-current, low-loss power inductors was introduced by Coilcraft at electronica 2016. The XEL60xx family employs a design which offers low DCR (as low as 1.35mΩ) and low AC losses at high switching frequencies (2-5+MHz). It is currently available in two models, the XEL6030 and XEL6060, both featuring lower inductance values which have been optimised for high frequency applications.
Microwave global models for high frequency conical inductor
Two microwave global model for the Coilcraft BCL and BCR RF and microwave inductor families have been developed by Modelithics and Coilcraft. Modelithics Microwave Global Models are high-accuracy equivalent circuit models that cover an entire component series within a single model.
RF Magnetics Lab Kit is designed for educators
Coilcraft has developed a new RF Magnetics Lab Kit to help educators bring practical, hands-on experience into their classrooms and instructional labs. Containing a selection of chip and air core inductors, LC filter modules and wideband transformers, the kit is offered free-of-charge to accredited Electrical Engineering programmes.
'Lowest profile' 0805 common mode chokes available
Measuring just 2.0x1.2x0.93mm, Coilcraft has claimed its 0805USBN series common mode chokes to be the lowest profile 0805 common mode chokes available. They offer up to 6.5GHz differential mode 3dB cutoff frequency and up to 35dB common mode noise attenuation across a wide frequency range up to GHz band, making them suitable for noise suppression in super high speed signal lines such as USB 3.x, HDMI 2.0, HDBaseT, DisplayPort and DVI.
High current inductors suit high frequency applications
Offered with current ratings up to 100A and inductance values from 85 to 370nH, the SLR family of high current, shielded power inductors has been unveiled by Coilcraft. The SLR1050, SLR1065, SLR1070, SLR1075 and SLR1190 inductors also feature a tight DCR tolerance (±5.4 to ±10%) for lossless, inductor DCR-based current sensing.
Power inductors are optimised for high frequency applications
At the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC 2016) in California, USA, Coilcraft has introduced a series of low-loss power inductors. The XEL40xx series is offered with lower inductance values that have been fully optimised for high frequency applications. They also offer extremely low DCR down to 2.5mΩ and ultra-low AC losses, resulting in the highest efficiency across a range of frequencies from 2 to over 5MHz.
Coilcraft to exhibit at APEC 2016
Coilcraft’s Director of Technical Marketing, Len Crane, will be participating in several technical sessions at APEC 2016 starting on Saturday, March 19th, when he will be a panelist at a special pre-show workshop titled, “Power Magnetics at High Frequency - Solving the Black Magic!” The workshop is being sponsored by the Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) and the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS). Mr. Crane will ...
Choke finder allows engineers to search a range of frequencies
Coilcraft has launched an all-new Common Mode Choke Finder web tool that allows users to search and compare hundreds of common mode filter options in just seconds. Search results are presented in a clear table sorted by the highest impedance or attenuation, depending on the user’s input.
Surface mount transformers sense current up to 20A
Designed for load current measurement and control in switching power supplies and overload/short-circuit protection, a series of surface mount current sense transformers have been unveiled by Coilcraft. The CST7030 transformers measure just 5.2 X 7.0mm (with a maximum height of 3.0mm) and sense up to 20A of current at frequencies between 10kHz and 1MHz.
120W planar transformers suit active clamp forward topology
Optimised for active clamp forward converters, including use in PoE PSE and pre-standard PD devices, Coilcraft has introduced the PoE120PL series of high-efficiency planar transformers. The series is suitable for 60-120W applications such as thin clients, monitors, industrial Ethernet, IPTV, building management, nurse call systems, point-of-sale terminals and information kiosks.
