NI AWR software, specifically Microwave Office circuit design software, will be used at the European Microwave Week 2018 (EuMW2018) Student Design Competition Thrust 1: Transceiver Design.

Version 2018.07 of the Murata Manufacturing Company tune/optimise library is now available for the NI AWR Design Environment platform, specifically Microwave Office circuit design software. This new library includes new surface mount device (SMD) models of capacitors and inductors, available as process design kits (PDKs) that can be accessed using Microwave Office software.

A new release of AntSyn antenna design, synthesis and optimisation software has been announced by NI/AWR. It is now available for use by current customers and evaluators. Highlights of the new release include 118 new antenna types, bringing the total to 370 within the library portfolio.

V14 of the NI AWR Design Environment platform has been released and is available to download for current customers and evaluators. This latest release includes new features, add-on modules and enhancements to the NI AWR Design Environment software suite of products.

The agendas for AWR Design Forum (ADF) 2018 venues in India have been finalised and registration has been opened. Themed “Future Faster: From Synthesis to Design Success," the forum will highlight new synthesis capabilities and simulation enhancements in NI AWR Design Environment V14 that enable designers to more efficiently move from synthesis to design success.

The annual AWR Design Forum (ADF 2018) will be visiting India, Korea and Japan from September 4-7. Themed Future Faster: From Synthesis to Design Success, this year’s program highlights the new synthesis capabilities and simulation enhancements in NI AWR Design Environment V14 that enable designers to more efficiently move from synthesis to design success.

The International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2018, being held in Philadelphia (June 10-15) provides the platform for demonstrations of NI AWR software. Preview demonstrations of the NI AWR Design Environment V14 release will feature new matching circuit synthesis technology and printed circuit board (PCB) and phased-array antenna wizards, as well as expanded electromagnetic (EM) capabilities and new and novel graphical displays.

Designers of 5G products must work with multiple technologies integrated into one module. To support this type of design, the software design environment must overcome the challenges associated with the use of several different physical technologies, as well as various board and module technologies.

Over 30 new features and enhancements have been added to the latest release of the NI AWR AntSyn automated antenna design, synthesis and optimisation software. This cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) product takes antenna design to the next level by enabling engineers to input antenna requirements and automatically produce a range of viable antenna designs as a result.

NI AWR Design Environment has added process design kit (PDK) support for ON Semiconductor’s integrated passive devices (IPDs) process. Agendas have been finalised and registration is now open for AWR Design Forum (ADF) 2017 stops in Toulouse, France on October 17, Ankara, Turkey on October 18 and Istanbul on October 19. ADF is an open forum that aims to bring together NI AWR Design Environment customers, partners and engineering professionals to learn, network and collaborate on the design of today's RF/microwave circuits and systems. 

In order to better prepare engineering students to enter the workforce armed with cutting-edge RF/microwave design skills and also to spearhead advanced university research, NI AWR Design Environment has been donated to Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" (ETU), one of the oldest higher education institutions in Saint Petersburg, Russia and a leader in the study of RF/microwave engineering and telecommunications.

The agenda is set and registration is open for the Korea venue of the seventh annual AWR Design Forum (ADF 2017), featuring the NI AWR Design Environment suite of high-frequency design tools. This one-day event will be held in Seoul on September 7 at the Courtyard Seoul Pangyo Hotel.

The seventh annual ADF Asia Pacific tour featuring NI AWR Design Environment will visit key cities in India, Korea, China and Taiwan during September and October.  Registration for these events is now open and paper submissions are invited.

An updated V13.02 of NI AWR Design Environment has been released that contains useful upgrades and enhancements to Microwave Office and Analog Office circuit design software, Visual System Simulator (VSS) system design software and AXIEM and Analyst 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulators. 

The newly released Version 13 of NI AWR Design Environment now offers an improved flow between AWR Connected for Sonnet and Sonnet Suites Version 16.54 using the latest EM Socket II architecture, which streamlines design flows between NI AWR software and third-party electromagnetic (EM) tools.

Version 13, the first major update in 2017 to NI AWR Design Environment has been released. V13 provides new capabilities and enhancements to betteraddress the design challenges associated with highly-integrated RF/microwave components commonly found in communications, phased-array radar and other electronic systems. 

The agenda has been set and registration opened for the sixth annual combined AWR Design Forum (ADF 2016) and NI AWR Software User Group meeting, being held during European Microwave Week (EuMW 2016) October 4 - 6 in London. ADF 2016 takes place on October 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in ICC Capital Suite, Room 6 on Level 3.
