Duo partner to help emergency vehicles arrive faster to save lives
Autotalks has teamed up with Applied Information, an Atlanta-based provider of intelligent transportation infrastructure solutions, to save lives on the roads of Georgia, Texas, and Hawaii. Dual mode chipsets enable large-scale V2X deployment
Autotalks believes that dual mode chipsets can enable the US automotive industry to immediately start large-scale V2X deployment. With future-proof chipset, supporting both Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) and Cellular V2X (C-V2X), OEMs do not need to bet on which technology will prevail. According to Autotalks, this will allow carmakers to focus on bringing enhanced safety to US roads with V2X.
V2X solution with dual-band WiFi pre-certification
Autotalks has successfully completed WiFi 5 pre-certification for its evaluation kit based on its 2nd generation V2X chipset. Autotalks dual-mode (DSRC and C-V2X) chipset recently achieved this milestone for its dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) supporting standards 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. The testing was done by an authorized test laboratory of the WiFi Alliance, using Autotalks evaluation kits.
Chipset selected for mass production C-V2X program
Autotalks has announced that its chipset was selected for a mass production C-V2X program in China, one of the first to be deployed in the huge Chinese market. This is the first mass-production C-V2X program for Autotalks, which consists of a Telematics Control Unit (TCU) with C-V2X powered by Autotalks' chipset, built by a top Tier1 automotive provider.
