Anglia aims VMI system at UK SME base
Anglia Components has invested £1m plus to develop a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system described by CEO Steve Rawlins as a “game changer”. Dubbed Anglia 80/20 the new system is aimed primarily though not exclusively, at SMEs, the predominant grouping in the UK manufacturing market and it has been developed to give them a competitive advantage to contend with high volume manufacturers.
enSilica, Anglia in UK/Ireland tie-up
EnSilica has appointed Anglia Components as its business development partner in the UK and Ireland for its eSi-Modules family of FPGA-based system-on-modules. Anglia will target the eSi-Modules at key vertical industry sectors including utilities, smart cities, oil and gas, access control, medical devices, IoT, industrial internet and telematics.
Training course takes Java into M2M and IoT
An in-depth two day course showing how to leverage the power and flexibility of Java in M2M and IoT applications is to be staged by Anglia M2m and Gemalto. Taking place at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, just north of London on December 1 and 2, the course will enable all participants to write, build and run a Java program on M2M modules and make them familiar with the more advanced features.
Environmental monitoring highlighted at Birmingham show

MEMs sensor development platform targets M2M/IoT
A new evaluation platform for MEMS and environmental sensors, created by linking the Cinterion Concept Board by Gemalto to a STMicroelectronics NUCLEO expansion board has been unveiled by Anglia Components. Using source code supplied by Anglia, designers can request measurements such as temperature, humidity, pressure, co-ordinates and g-force from the on-board sensors using SMS communication or AT commands.
Anglia Components, Wearnes Cambion ink distribution pact
Anglia Components has boosted its e-mech and inductive components by signing a UK and Ireland distribution agreement with Wearnes Cambion, manufacturers of PCB pins, solder terminals, chokes and other high performance electro-mechanical and inductive components. Anglia will be supporting the full range of Wearnes Cambion standard and custom electro-mechanical and inductive components.
Samsung deal strengthens Anglia passives portfolio
Anglia Components has been appointed as a UK and Ireland distributor for the passive component range of Samsung Electro Mechanics (SEM). Under the agreement, Anglia will have access to the full range of SEM passive components. In addition it will fully support SEM EMC control devices, chip resistors, crystal devices, Tantalum and X2Y Capacitors and chip inductors.
Roxburgh, Deltron brands join Anglia UK/Ireland linecard
Anglia Components has signed up as a UK and Ireland distributor for Roxburgh, Deltron Enclosures and Deltron Connectors. The three brands are manufactured by DEM Manufacturing, a UK manufacturer of EMC filters, connectors and enclosures. All three brands will be supported by an extensive stock profile held at Anglia's UK warehouse.
