Device delivers -156-dBFS noise floor over wide input range
A 16-bit, 310-MSPS dual A/D converter, designated the AD9652, has been launched by Analog Devices. The device has been designed to support demanding high-speed signal processing applications that require exceptional linearity and noise performance over a wide input frequency range. The AD9652 can digitize up to 155 MHz of signal bandwidth and provides an analog input bandwidth of 650 MHz.
Quad-channel clock translator synchronises SONET/SDH
PCIM 2014: Jitter clean-up and synchronisation for systems, including synchronous optical networks is provided with the AD9554 multi-service adaptive quad-channel clock translator with clock multiplier from Analog Devices. An embedded cross-point switch at the input is more flexible, says the company, and has a lower cost of ownership, compared with maintaining different clocking configurations of multiple parts.
PCIM 2014: Motor driver efficiency gets a boost
Analog Devices (ADI) has arrived at PCIM armed with a platform of solutions described by Anders Frederiksen, Segment Marketing Manager, Motor & Power Control as “a mix of solutions that we have to offer with an emphasis on the intelligent power domain.” These are based around ADI’s move towards offering systems solutions to “provide value-added to the customer,” Frederiksen commented.
ADA4870 40V High Output Current Amplifier
See how the breakthrough high speed 40V ADA4870 compares with the nearest competition to deliver over 2500 V/µs slew rate while driving a low resistive load.
Analog Devices announce PCIM agenda
Analog Devices will demonstrate a broad portfolio of smartly integrated solutions that optimise system performance and show the development and rapid prototyping of solutions and tools at this year’s PCIM 2014 show taking place from 20-22 May in Nuremberg, Germany. Analog Devices will be present in Hall 6, Stand 326.
Regulator converts harvested power as low as 10uW
An ultra-low-power boost regulator for photovoltaic and thermoelectric energy harvesting systems has been unveiled by Analog Devices. The ADP5090 boost regulator delivers efficient conversion of harvested power (as low as 10uW) with sub-uW operational losses that stores the maximum amount of energy for future operation.
Advanced digital power controller features PMBus interface
Utilising the company's high-resolution, high-speed ADC sensing technology and proprietary non-linear transfer functionality, the ADP1055 has been announced by Analog Devices. This advanced digital power controller with PMBus interface achieves high-bandwidth performance and transient response equivalent to traditional analog switching controllers.
PMICs target RF agile radio and FPGA applications
Designed as an integrated power solution for picocell and femtocell base stations, portable and handheld devices requiring a compact and integrated power solution, the ADP505x PMICs from Analog Devices target compact, high density power solutions for RF agile radio and FPGA/processor-based applications.
Power management IC targets RF agile radio
A family of power management ICs targeting compact, high density power solutions for RF agile radio and FPGA/processor-based applications has been announced by Analog Devices. The ADP505x family of power management ICs was designed as an integrated power solution for picocell and femtocell base stations, portable and handheld devices as well as most applications needing a compact, integrated power solution.
Simplify rapid SDR system prototyping & development
Two software-defined radio (SDR) platform solutions and ecosystems have been announced by Analog Devices to simplify rapid SDR system prototyping and development in applications ranging from defence electronics, RF instrumentation, communications infrastructure and open-source SDR development projects.
D/A converter offers value without compromise
Extending the existing nanoDAC product portfolio, the AD5683R D/A converter from ADI delivers high performance in a smaller package. The 16-bit, single-channel, nanoDAC+ boasts relative accuracy of ±2-LSB INL, a 2-ppm/°C 2.5-V reference and a space saving LFCSP package.
Frequency Synthesis and Clock Generation for High Speed Systems
Frequency synthesis and clock generation are now key elements in all aspects of high speed data acquisition and RF design. In this session, the primary types of frequency synthesizers—phase-locked loops (PLL) and direct digital synthesizers (DDS)—are discussed, along with the applications for when each is appropriate.
System partitioning and design
Acquired analog signals can be manipulated and processed by either the analog or digital portions of a system, for example, through filtering, multiplexing, and gain control. The analog portions of a system can typically provide reasonably simple processing at fairly low cost, power, and overhead.
