Sample kits of Ametherm's inrush current limiters and NTC sensing thermistors are now available from distributor Mouser Electronics. Mouser is stocking Ametherm's Standard, Mega, Mini, and Sensor Sample Kits. Ametherm's Standard Sample Kit consists of nine 120VAC and 240VAC inrush current limiters from the company's SL series.
NTC thermistors offer thermal time constant of 10s
ACCU-Curve interchangeable NTC thermistors from Ametherm are now being stocked by distributor Digi-Key Electronics. The thermistors deliver long-term stability and reliability for high-accuracy temperature sensing, control, and compensation in medical, industrial, and automotive applications.
NTC thermistors withstand up to 900J of input energy
A series of inrush current limiting NTC thermistors designed to withstand high input energy from 500 to 900J and steady-state currents from 10 to 50A has been announced by Ametherm. Offering a rugged design, MS35 series devices are optimised for high-power applications, including solar inverters, battery chargers, and DC/DC converters.
NTC disc thermistors cover variety of applications
NTC disc thermistors from Ametherm that were acquired from Measurement Specialties (formerly RTI Electronics) are now being stocked by UK-based Rhopoint Components. Ametherm's NTC disc thermistors deliver high stability and maximum sensitivity for temperature measurement, compensation, and control in applications such as fan motor controls, fluid levels, and temperature sensors in a wide range of end products.
Interchangeable thermistors provide long-term stability
Designed for high-accuracy temperature sensing, control and compensation, a series of interchangeable thermistors has been introduced by Ametherm. The ACCU-Curve series thermistors are available in a wide range of resistance values, with tight tolerances of ±0.2°C between 0 and +70°C and fast thermal response times.
Customisation capabilities for NTC thermistor probe assemblies
Ametherm has announced its ability to completely customise the company's offering of NTC thermistor probe assemblies to meet the specific needs of any application. Designed and built in as little as two weeks, the units are the ideal choice for high-accuracy temperature sensing and measurement for IGBT chips and heatsinks in welding equipment, plasma cutters, air sensors, electric motors, and HVAC systems.
Thermistor delivers 680V for welding equipment
Ametherm has released a PTC circuit protection thermistor with an industry-high voltage rating for inrush current limiting and overcurrent protection in applications such as welding equipment and plasma cutters with extremely high voltages from 480 to 930V.
Thermistors handle steady state currents up to 4A
