The A1245 from Allegro MicroSystems Europe is a two-wire Hall-effect latch with high magnetic sensitivity and excellent EMC performance in automotive and industrial speed/position sensing applications. The A1245 latch is produced using Allegro's advanced BiCMOS wafer fabrication process, and implements a high-frequency 4-phase chopper-stabilisation technique to achieve magnetic stability from -40 to +150°C.
Full-bridge gate IC drives automotive power MOSFETs
The A5929 from Allegro is a full-bridge gate driver IC designed to drive N-channel external power MOSFETs in automotive applications including Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) systems. The device incorporates a specially designed charge pump regulator that provides a full gate drive voltage of greater than 10V at battery voltages down to 7V and allows operation with reduced gate drive at battery voltages down to 5.5V.
Automotive buck regulator ICs target USB charging
Extending its portfolio of automotive regulator ICs, Allegro MicroSystems Europe has introduced two high output current devices suiting USB power applications. The A8652 and A8653 synchronous buck regulator ICs provide tight load regulation over a wiring harness without the need for remote sense lines.
Synchronous buck regulator IC features 3A output
The latest product from Allegro MicroSystems Europe has been announced, the A8654 is a high-output current synchronous buck regulator IC that can produce a 3A steady-state load current from an input voltage ranging from 4 to 36V. The device integrates low 'on' resistance high-side MOSFETs and low-side n-channel MOSFETs and utilises external compensation to accommodate a wide range of power components.
Hall-effect angle sensor ICs for motor positioning
Designed for high-speed motor position sensing in safety-critical automotive applications, the A1331 and A1334 contactless, Hall-effect based magnetic sensor ICs have been announced by Allegro MicroSystems Europe. The dual-die devices are based on vertical Hall-effect technology with system-on-chip architecture that provides fast output refresh rates and low signal path latency.
Configure LED controller in boost, buck-boost, SEPIC or buck
A DC/DC converter controller which provides a programmable constant-current output for driving high-power LEDs in series has been released by Allegro MicroSystems.
Hall-effect current-sensor ICs in high-isolation package
The ACS722 and ACS723 Hall-effect current sensor ICs from Allegro MicroSystems Europe are now available in a high-isolation SOIC16 package. The low-profile surface-mount package is ideal for space constrained applications while also saving costs due to reduced board area, yet provides a 4800 V RMS isolation rating: the highest available from Allegro’s family of surface-mount current sensor ICs.
Brushless motor control circuit for easy integration
The A4963 is a three-phase, sensorless, BrushLess DC (BLDC) motor controller for use with external complementary P-channel and N-channel power MOSFETs. The A4963 can be used as a stand-alone controller communicating directly with an ECU or it can be used in a close coupled system with a local MCU.
2A buck regulator suits audio & infotainment systems
A high-efficiency converter targeted at the automotive and industrial markets, the A8585 has been announced by Allegro MicroSystems. The 2A buck regulator has been designed to provide the low power supply requirements of next-gen car audio and infotainment systems.
Dual-output speed and direction sensor simplifies design
Designed for the automotive, industrial, white goods and commercial markets, Allegro MicroSystems has introduced a dual-output sensor IC. The ATS605 differential speed and direction sensor simplifies mechanical design and installation and can sense much smaller or higher resolution teeth for increased accuracy.
Synchronous buck regulator targets servers and networking
Capable of delivering high current due to low RDS(on) internal switches, the A8672 synchronous buck converter has been introduced by Allegro MicroSystems. Utilising valley current mode control to achieve very short on-times, the converter targets applications such as servers and networking systems requiring 5 or 12V input step down conversions at high output current.
