VOICE 2011 Conference, a users group meeting and partners event organized by premier semiconductor test company Verigy (NASDAQ: VRGY), will include a strong technical program with a large number of papers from chip makers on innovative test techniques for a broad range of ICs tested on Verigy systems. The event, to be held April 19-21 in Santa Cruz, Calif., is an international forum for sharing technical content and exchanging perspectives on the latest semiconductor testing techniques and best practices.
This year, we have 60 presentations from semiconductor manufacturers from around the world, including contributions from 25 companies in 11 countries, said Verigy's Rich Lathrop, chairperson of this year's program committee. In terms of both global participation and the mix of test-related topics, this year's response to our call for abstracts generated high quality submissions which will make this an excellent conference.

In addition to the 60 presentations featured by Verigy's customers, partners and in-house experts, the event includes eight technical tracks, a newly added tutorial track all focused on real-world customer needs concerning hardware design, test techniques and methodologies, engineering effectiveness, and production-volume testing. VOICE will also include an expanded kiosk session staffed by Verigy R&D, industry experts and supplier technologists. Attendees can also visit the Suppliers' Expo to learn more about products and offerings that complement Verigy solutions.

Following last year's success, the VOICE 2011 conference will include a one-day, hands-on workshop with eight sessions dedicated to educating test engineers about how to develop efficient test programs and achieve high throughputs on the V93000 test platform, collaborating on test development and IP reuse, learning advanced V93000 features, and debugging RF modulation formats used in today's communication systems.

This year's conference is expected to attract more than 300 test engineering and management professionals from more than 50 companies around the world, including foundries, fabless semiconductor companies and integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) as well as Verigy's strategic partners, added Lathrop.
