AWR Corporation reveals that as part of its on going commitment to fostering the careers of future RF/microwave engineers worldwide and specifically in Asia Pacific, the company is sponsoring the first-ever student design competition at Xidian University in Xi’an, China. Xidian University is a Chinese national key university, which, under the Ministry of Education, has been approved to provide engineering education and training in the fields of information and electronics. Prizes for the competition winners will include both cash and in-kind software gifts.
AWR sponsored a very successful student design competition in China at Nanjing Postal University and SouthEast University earlier this year, as well as the student design poster competition at the IEEE International Wireless Symposium 2013 held in Beijing in April 2013.

“This is the first time Xidian University will hold a student design competition and AWR is proud to sponsor this effort to provide practical experience in RF and microwave design for engineering students,” said Francis Leong, Greater China regional manager at AWR. “Previous competitions have proved to be very popular and the quality of papers impressive. The future of these students looks extremely bright and AWR is excited to play a part in furthering their careers.”
