The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) is pleased to announce availability of the classic engineering text Electronic Transformers and Circuits – Third Edition Reprint, authored by the late Rueben Lee and co-authored by Leo Wilson and Charles E. Carter. The book was initially published by John Wiley and Sons in 1988, but has been out of print for several years. Copies of this practical design treatment of magnetics will be available for sale at this year’s Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC 2007) to be held in Anaheim, California, February 25-March 1, 2007 and through the PSMA web site – www.psma.com.
Copies will sell for $150 but members of PSMA companies can obtain a copy for $100. An additional $10 discount will be applied to orders placed in advance of APEC2007. For more information, please contact the Association Office.

According to Steve Carlsen, PSMA Magnetics Committee Chairman, “Lee’s classic book is considered by many magnetics design specialists as a thoroughly practical book in designing many types of magnetics devices and their applications, including power and pulse transformers and inductive components. The committee is delighted to join PSMA in making this wonderful book available again. A limited reprint of 100 copies is being made, so purchase your copy while supplies last.”

In the past two years, PSMA has reprinted two other classic books on magnetics including Transformers for Electronic Circuits by the late Nathan R. Grossman and Soft Ferrites – Properties and Applications by E.C. Snelling. A limited number of copies of these books are also available through www.psma.com.
