The sponsors of the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) have announced the continuation of a travel support programme of $40,000 for students planning to attend APEC 2015, which takes place from 17th to 21st March in Charlotte, NC.

The 4th International Workshop on Power Supply on Chip (PowerSoC2014) will be held at Northeastern University Boston MA on October 6-8, 2014. The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) and IEEE Power Electronics Society (IEEE PELS) are jointly sponsoring, and the College of Engineering (COE) of Northeastern University (NEU) is hosting the workshop.

At APEC 2014, The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) Packaging Committee is sponsoring an industry session, titled: “3D Packaging for Power Electronics”. The session will present proven and available techniques to implement 3D packaging in power supplies today, while speakers from leading research facilities will provide a look into the future.

Taking place on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, an industry session sponsored by the PSMA will focus on nanotechnology. The industry session will take place at APEC 2014 and marks PSMA’s fourth Industry Session on Nanotechnology at APEC, which positions itself as the “Premier Event in Power Electronics.” APEC 2014 is being held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
