TRaC will be host to an on-site meeting of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, at TRaC's facilities in Warwick. Non-members of IMechE – the meeting is part of the programme conducted by the Rugby branch of the Institution – are also very welcome, but pre-registration is required, see the link below
TRaC is the largest Testing and Certification services company in Britain with a comprehensive capability that spans mechanical, electrical and environmental domains; TRaC holds accreditations at British, European and global levels to validate products and processes to every relevant national and international standard, and operates a total of seven sites across the UK.

Participants in the IMechE event will hear TRaC Engineering Consultant Dr. Peter Moir – himself a Fellow of the Institution – present a talk giving insights into the inside story of product testing and compliance.

Attendees will also be able to visit the test facilities on TRaC's Warwick site, which include: vibration test rigs; sand and dust exposure chambers; altitude, temperature and humidity chambers, as well as the resources to carry out modelling studies using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Dr. Moir is, among his other duties, TRaC's expert on the use of FEA.
