Jason Hitipeuw has been appointed to the role of Medical Business Development Manager at ESCATEC, where he will play a key role in developing sales in the company's rapidly growing medical division.

Based in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, Jason has already been successfully active with a variety of businesses for 15 years and possesses broad expertise in the medical business development field. He started his career at Sony and then went to Philips followed by NXP Semiconductors. Jason joins ESCATEC from Laird Technologies where he was responsible for medical business development and strategic accounts. Jason was successful at doubling the business in eighteen months and helped guide the strategic development by further growing the business by 25%.

"We are pleased to have Jason join our organisation", said Martin Kingdon, ESCATEC's Director of Business Development. "His experience level and personal drive will be valuable assets as we continue to grow ESCATEC's medical business."

Jason added, "I am excited about the opportunity presented here at ESCATEC. This company is well positioned to take advantage of the many outsource growth opportunities that will come as a result of the rapidly changing dynamics of the medical device market. Companies are moving from the traditional, 'everything in-house model' to outsourcing in order to be quicker to market. This enables them to remain competitive by focusing their energies and time on their speciality knowledge to drive innovation rather than on manufacturing. I am particularly impressed that ESCATEC has invested heavily to obtain the ISO13485 quality management standard. This makes ESCATEC one of the few companies in the world providing an integrated contract design and manufacturing service with a certification to Class 1, Class 2 and Class 2b medical devices."
