Averna, test solution leader for optics technologies, today announced that Sumitomo Electric Device Innovations, USA Inc (SEDU) has selected Proligent® Analytics to streamline its product design and testing operations for optical components such as XFP transceivers, which will help improve their time-to-market.
Due to Analytics’ advanced data-gathering and navigation capabilities, it will provide SEDU with faster and easier analysis, assisting their engineers at every stage of the design lifecycle. Analytics will allow SEDU to quickly interpret their test results and provide solutions to their manufacturing group, which will streamline final testing and put SEDU’s products into production faster than before.

“Since we’re a lean and efficient engineering group, Proligent Analytics gives us an important new business support system for optimizing our designs,” said Lance Thompson, Director Product Development at SEDU. “It will provide excellent insight for decision-making, allowing us to tighten our product designs and development processes and to close the feedback loop between engineering and manufacturing. This will speed up the handoff to production, which will reduce our time-to-market.”

“By selecting Proligent Analytics, SEDU will benefit from the substantial feature set of a leading Enterprise Test Software (ETS) solution for communications manufacturers, particularly those dealing with optics where TL 9000 certification is key,” said Jean-Lévy Beaudoin, Director of Business Development for Proligent at Averna. “This demonstrates how Proligent Analytics answers OEM needs in test data and manufacturing process analysis.”
