Digital video and audio test added to RF tooolkits
Averna has announced a strategic partnership with MaxEye Technologies to distribute its digital video and audio signal generation toolkits. This partnership will allow Averna to add full digital video and audio testing capability to its Averna Signal Tester (AST-1000) RF Signal Source platform, in addition to its existing RF toolkits such as AM/FM, HD Radio and Sirius XM as well as full GNSS simulation.
Averna extends footprint to support expansion plans
To support rapid growth and to accommodate future expansion plans, Averna has moved to a new facility in San Rafael, California that covers 14,000 square feet and nearly doubles the footprint of the previous space. What is claimed to be the first all-in-one infotainment RF signal source based on the NI Vector Signal Transceiver has been unveiled by Averna at NIWeek in Austin. Featuring Averna’s RF and test expertise, the software-defined AST-1000 can generate all common infotainment RF signals, including AM/FM, DAB, GPS, HD Radio, and Sirius/XM. To test its DOCSIS 3.1 chipset prior to final certification, Intel has selected Averna’s DP-1000 DOCSIS Protocol Analyser. The analyser captures and filters MAC-layer data in real-time to verify RF parameters, validate MAC-level communication, troubleshoot interoperability issues, and improve performance.

Protocol analyser performs DOCSIS 3.1 test
Averna says that it has successfully participated in the first Interoperability test of DOCSIS 3.1 products organised by CableLabs. In combination with other vendors’ DOCSIS 3.1 equipment, Averna’s DP-1000 DOCSIS Protocol Analyser successfully performed OFDM downstream capture at the event.
