WE United in partnership with Electronic Specifier launch new industry survey
WE United and Electronic Specifier have officially launched a new survey aimed at capturing the views and aspirations of talent across the electronics industry and related markets.
The initiative invites participation from individuals at all levels, providing a platform for them to share their perspectives on the industry's current talent landscape.
The survey, which debuted at the WE United Summit on 11th September 2024, aims to create a clearer understanding of workforce needs and aspirations. The mission is to ensure that the voices of employees are responsibly delivered to industry leadership, facilitating a connection between the workforce and decision-makers. This project is designed to help shape a more inclusive and responsive industry by supporting the cultures and people driving global innovation.
Survey distribution and key events
The survey will be circulated throughout 2024, including at major events such as electronica in November, with the goal of capturing insights from a wide range of participants.
The collected data will be compiled into a detailed report, scheduled for release in Q1 2025. This report, titled the ‘Global Industry Workforce Report’, is expected to provide valuable insights for executives and leaders in shaping people and culture strategies that align with the needs of their workforce.

As part of its collaboration with WE United, Electronic Specifier will also host a forum at electronica in Munich the 13th November 2024.
During the forum, Paige West, Managing Editor at Electronic Specifier, will moderate a panel discussion on leadership and inclusion in the workplace, featuring senior leaders from Texas Instruments, TDK, Mouser, and Infineon. The forum will offer attendees a chance to explore leadership best practices and strategies for improving talent retention in the industry.
WE United Founder, President, and CEO, Jackie Mattox, will also be giving a keynote address, focusing on systemic change and WE United’s mission to promote equitable opportunities in the global electronics industry.
A resource for decision-makers
The survey’s results and the subsequent report will serve as a critical resource for industry executives, empowering them to make informed decisions about their workforce. The findings will help identify key areas for improvement, fostering a more engaged and thriving sector.
