Google Cloud appoints Noor Al-Sulaiti to lead cybersecurity business development
Google Cloud has recently announced Noor Al-Sulaiti as the new Head of Security Business Development and Government Relations for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa region (META).
With a career in the telecommunications and technology sectors, Noor brings innovative leadership and a deep well of experience to her new role.
Her appointment highlights Google Cloud's dedication to the META region and its commitment to protecting digital assets of governments. In her role, Noor will lead Google’s efforts to expand its security operations across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, emphasising the critical importance of cybersecurity for the company. She will also work on establishing strategic partnerships with the public sector, utilising Google Cloud's advanced cybersecurity solutions such as Cybershield. This particular solution is designed especially for government entities, promoting the idea that organisations both within a nation and globally should collaborate closely in their cybersecurity efforts to effectively counteract common threats.
Noor has previously held the position of CEO at Ooredoo Oman, making history as the company's youngest and first female CEO. Her leadership at Ooredoo Oman was marked by a shift towards a more digital, data-driven, and customer-focused approach. Before her tenure at Ooredoo Oman, she served as CEO of Starlink, a retail and IT services chain in Qatar, and held managerial roles at Phono and FASTtelco in Kuwait. Her leadership and achievements have earned her recognition as one of the most influential businesswomen by Forbes Middle East and accolades from other leading publications for her role as a noteworthy business leader.
