We’ll be hearing from a range of speakers at the event, including:
- Antony Firth, Head of Marine Heritage Strategy, Historic England
Antony is a marine archaeologist by background and has been involved in many aspects of marine heritage on land and under the water throughout his career. Antony became interested in the role of women in shipbuilding and other maritime sectors during the First and Second World Wars as part of wider research into merchant shipping on the east coast of England.
- Amanda Creak, EMEA CIO and Head of EMEA Technology, Morgan Stanley
Amanda Creak is the EMEA CIO and Head of EMEA Technology at Morgan Stanley. She has more than two decades of experience across organisations such as UK Ministry of Defence, EY, and Goldman Sachs.
- Dame Dawn Childs DBE FRE
Dawn Childs is the CEO of Pure Data Centres Group responsible for the global portfolio of hyper scale data centres. Before stepping into her current role, she led a multi-billion transformation programme for National Grid as their UK Change Director across both the gas and electricity transmission businesses.
- Elizabeth Donnelly, Chief Executive Officer, Women's Engineering Society
Elizabeth Donnelly is a systems engineer with a background in software development and aerospace engineering. She was appointed CEO of the Women’s Engineering Society in 2018.
- Dr Nina Baker
Dr Nina Baker has had a varied career, having become a merchant navy deck officer on leaving school and later taken an engineering design degree in her 30s, from the University of Warwick. She has been a Deputy Lieutenant in the Glasgow Lieutenancy since 2017 and was appointed an OBE in the 2023 New Year’s Honours’ list, for services to the history of women in engineering.
