IT infrastructure update to enable automation
Proact extends its commitment to software company Symbrio by transforming its IT infrastructure with a Proact Hybrid Cloud solution. This platform provides a flexible cloud environment to support Symbrio’s development team for the foreseeable future.
Symbrio, a company that specialises in purchasing and invoice management solutions, has been working with data centre specialists Proact for a number of years. Proact has previously provided infrastructure to support service delivery and has hosted Symbrio’s web-based applications using a managed cloud service which included compute, storage and backup resources.
Under the new agreement, Symbrio will transfer its entire data centre operations to a Proact Hybrid Cloud solution. The new platform will offer a flexible IT infrastructure that has been built in-line with Symbrio’s business model, while also providing new options to integrate public cloud. Symbrio’s development environment, which was previously hosted and managed on-premises will migrate to a new solution provided by Proact. This includes a self-service portal that can be used by the development team for tasks such as getting quick access to temporary server resources used for development and testing.
“We have a long standing and satisfying collaboration with Proact and we appreciate that their offering is evolving to keep up with our needs,” said Symbrio’s CIO Jonas Mählkvist. “With Proact Hybrid Cloud, we get a modern, cost-effective infrastructure solution, and migrating the development environment gives us more time to spend on tasks that can add the most value.”
Proact Hybrid Cloud is a cloud platform that provides the flexibility to manage all workloads within a unified, automated and secure IT ecosystem. It gives customers full control of their data, applications and systems, regardless of whether these are hosted in private clouds or served by public cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
Lena Eskilsson, Managing Director, Proact IT Sweden, added: “Symbrio faces similar challenges to some of our current customers – it needs to adapt individual services yet still wants to attain the benefits of a modern cloud solution. The Proact Hybrid Cloud was built with this in mind and is complemented by flexible support options and consultancy from highly qualified cloud experts.”
