Front-end module encompasses Wi-Fi 6 systems
In stock at distributor Mouser Electronics is the QPF4532 Wi-Fi 6 integrated front-end module (FEM) from Qorvo, designed for the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) systems such as residential gateways, wireless routers, access points and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
This FEM integrates a 5.0 GHz power amplifier (PA), single-pole, two-throw (SP2T) switch and bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA) into a single device.
With a compact form factor and integrated matching that minimises layout area in the application, performance of the QPF4532 is focused on optimising the PA for a 3.3 V supply voltage to conserve power consumption, while maintaining the highest linear output power and leading-edge throughput.
Receive path design matches optimal technologies to maximise receive sensitivity through noise figure performance as low as 2 dB, for consistency over a wider variety of conditions.
The QPF4532 features integrated die-level filtering for second and third harmonics as well as 2.4 GHz rejection for dual-band, dual-concurrent (DBDC) operation.
For application feedback, a DC power detector is integrated into the halogen- and lead-free package to provide voltage that is proportional to the output power from the transmit path.
For development, Mouser also stocks the QPF4532EVB evaluation board, which provides an example application circuit to allow rapid prototyping when incorporated into existing designs.
