Arrow Electronics has strengthened its portfolio of products for wireless applications through a European distribution agreement with Embedded Antenna Design Ltd (EAD). EAD designs innovative multiband antenna solutions for wireless applications across licensed and unlicensed frequencies. The European agreement with Arrow covers the company’s full range of internal and external antennas and associated products. These technologies are designed for telematics, telemetry and monitoring applications and suit a wide variety of handheld, mobile and indoor and outdoor monitoring equipment.
“The deal with EAD further extends our range of wireless technologies for M2M applications covering cellular, GSM, 3G and WLAN applications,” said Steve Clark, Director of Northern Europe Engineering and Marketing at Arrow. “EAD’s antenna technologies - coupled with our extensive portfolio of wireless ICs, modular RF products and complementary components - ensure that European customers can source essentially everything they need for their wireless designs from a single source.”

Stuart Robinson, sales director at EAD, said, “Our experience covers a wide range of antenna products from portable terminal to wireless access point and gateway antennas, with a variety of solutions in between. The agreement with Arrow ensures that engineers across Europe who are involved in wireless designs have easy access to and support for the full range of EAD antenna technologies, including semicustom and full-custom options.”
