These systems are designed to enhance the speed and accuracy of low-loss splicing for the company's robust, compact, and lightweight armoured fiber optic cables.
The new Mini 6S+ and Mini 12R+ models represent the industry's most compact arc fusion splicers, both equipped as standard with dual batteries. The Mini 6S+ features six motors for direct core alignment, facilitating precise single-strand splices, while the Mini 12R+ can simultaneously splice up to 12 ribbon fiber strands.
Both systems are controlled via an intuitive touchscreen and include a dual-CCD camera system for high-precision fiber alignment. They are fully compatible with Splice-On Connector (SOC) technology and come with a comprehensive kit, including a thermal stripper, precision cleaver, cleaning kit, and all necessary consumables for immediate operation.
“Today’s busy installers demand systems that deliver reliable, low-loss splicing in the shortest possible time,” said Christian Peterson, Founder of TiniFiber. “With splicing times down to just six seconds and dual batteries as standard, the new ultra-compact Mini series arc fusion splicers address this demand while optimizing on-site productivity.”
The Mini 6S+ is notably compact at 124 x 123.2 x 138mm and lightweight at 1.54kg, with typical splice losses ranging between 0.01dB and 0.04dB depending on the cable type. It offers a 'quick mode' for single-mode splicing in just six seconds and allows for up to 90 splice and 32 heating programs to be user-configured. Its onboard memory can store up to 10,000 splice records and 2,000 splice images.
The Mini 12R+ maintains similar dimensions to the Mini 6S+ and weighs slightly less at 1.38kg. It offers typical splice losses between 0.02dB and 0.08dB, with a standard splice time of 15 seconds, and supports up to 140 splice and 38 heating programs, with a memory capacity for 5,000 splice records.
Each system is provided in a robust yellow hard carry case and includes a three-pack of FastTrack Calibration Services performed in the USA. These services encompass a Demo Loaner, Factory Refresh, Software updates, Replacement of Electrodes, Cleaning of Optical Components, and a Diagnostic and Performance Test.
