Cut up to 15AWG copper wire
Techspray has introduced the Platoshear S extra-strong cutter (part #170S) to its popular Plato electronic repair and rework line. This innovative lead cutter is engineered to precisely trim higher gauge leads and wire without the blade nicking or dulling. Platoshear S cuts up to 15AWG copper wire, which is 50% thicker wire than the Platoshear 170, Techspray’s top-selling cutter.
Platoshears have the precision of a high-end tool, but at a disposable cutter price. Plato cutters use the shear cutting method, which requires 50% less operator effort and extends cutting life. Thin profile design is suitable for trimming hard-to-reach areas. Handles are cushioned for comfort all day and automatically spring back to their original position after each use.
Techspray’s Plato cutter assortment also includes models with a safety lead catcher, ESD-safe grips and ergonomic grips similar to high-end cutters. Plato soldering tips are engineered for greater life and faster heat recovery, and are available to fit popular soldering stations lsuch as Weller, Hakko and Pace.
