Sensor Modules for direct measurement of current, voltage and temperature
Isabellenhütte’s IMC and IMS sensor modules have been developed for all areas of use in which large currents, voltages and temperatures have to be measured with high precision.
The The IMS sensor module (IMS-B-R001) is also intended for use in larger measurement systems such as current measurement devices or battery management systems. Here too, it has been designed specifically for lithium-ion systems. The current measurement is performed via a 100 µOhm shunt. The Isabellenhütte’s 16 bit data registration system ISA-ASIC is used to register the measured values. The IMS can perform measurements within a current range up to 1,500 A with a resolution of 50 mA and within a voltage range of 30 V with a resolution of 1 mV. In contrast to conventional current measurement systems, the specified precision can also be attained taking account of all conditions such as linearity errors, offsets and temperature effects.
The scope of implementation is wide: alternating current drives, AC/DC power control, rectifiers, power converters, direct and alternating current rectifiers, energy measurement, battery control for hybrid drives and electric vehicles, fuel cell control etc.
