USB oscilloscope acts as five in one instrument
Digilent’s Analog Discovery USB oscilloscope has been added to the Mouser Electronics test and measurement portfolio. It is a portable multifunction test instrument that can measure, record and generate analog and digital signals. The oscilloscope’s analog and digital inputs and outputs connect to a developer’s circuit using simple wire probes.
The USB-powered Analog Discovery plugs into the USB port of any PC, allowing it to act as a combination oscilloscope, logic analyser, spectrum analyser, digital pattern generator, voltmeter, and more. It's small enough to fit in a pocket, but powerful enough to replace a stack of lab equipment.
The Discovery uses Digilent’s free PC‑based Waveforms software which configures the oscilloscope to operate as any one of several traditional instruments, allowing it to measure, visualise, analyse, record and control mixed signal circuits of all kinds. At present Waveforms only supports PCs, but will soon support Mac and Linux systems as well.
The oscilloscope supports several accessories, including the Discovery BNC adapter board which allows the Analog Discovery to connect using standard BNC test leads and probes, as well as any of Digilent’s prototyping breadboards and probes.
