Leading test equipment rental company Livingston has announced its involvement in this year’s Maintec exhibition. The event, which takes place between 29th and 31st March at the NEC in Birmingham, covers a broad spectrum of different sectors within the manufacturing and processing industries. It looks at how innovative technology can assist in the maintenance of factory equipment in order to lower running costs, increase yields, reduce downtime, and improve productivity.
/> Livingston’s extensive inventory allows production line managers, maintenance managers and utilities managers to get hold of instrumentation for a wide variety of tasks, including thermal imaging, high voltage electrical testing, and power quality analysis. At Maintec it will have handheld and bench top test equipment from leading manufacturers, such as FLIR, Doble, Fluke Electrical, Testo, Megga, Synergy, and Dranetz, on display. Livingston representatives will also be able to explain to visitors the benefits of moving to a rental approach rather than purchasing equipment.

“With the delicate nature of the economy, companies have to be careful about how they utilise their financial resources. OEMs, contract manufacturers, systems integrators and utility management providers must have access to the hardware that allows them to meet the expectations of their customers, but need to ensure they are not left exposed to the risk that these assets will end up simply being a burden” states Kathryn Williams, Marketing Manager for Livingston UK. “Working with Livingston allows companies in need of test equipment to rent items without the struggle of making up front payments, as well as avoiding the hidden costs associated with ownership, such as insurance, maintenance, transportation between sites, calibration and downtime cover.”

“Livingston can serve as an invaluable sourcing partner, supplying the latest test tools without the customer having to be concerned about issues like underutilisation of equipment or upgrading equipment to support new technology. This flexibility means the companies we work with are better able to respond to the demands of their specific market, and will have the edge over their competitors” she concludes.
