With the ChipControl command set, EVT offers a compact, easy-to-use tool for the inspection of semiconductors and electronic components.

Programming the inspection process for semiconductors and electronic components is done with just a few clicks using the pre-configured ChipControl command set.

Designed specifically for the semiconductor and electronics industries, this software package is based on the EyeVision software. The graphical commands of the EyeVision software interface make it easy to configure various tasks. The ChipControl command set provides specialised commands for various tasks, such as:

  • Pin 1 Inspection
  • Imprint Inspection
  • InTape Inspection
  • Lead Inspection
  • Lead Frame Inspection
  • 2D InTape Inspection
  • 3D Lead Coplanarity Inspection (LCI)
  • BGA Inspection
  • Wire Bond Inspection
  • Wafer and Bluetape Alignment
  • Wafer ID Reading
  • Dam Bar Inspection
  • THT Inspection

The user simply selects the appropriate command and enters the parameters for the part to be inspected. The sensor can then perform the inspection autonomously within the inspection system.

In addition to the ChipControl command set, the entire EyeVision software command set is available to the user. This means that the inspection program is ready for use in the semiconductor industry in just a few steps. Regardless of whether the inspection process is PC-based or runs on a smart camera, there is only one software and one user interface to solve the project.

A wide range of protocols are available for data transmission, including TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet IP, Modbus, Profinet and others. In addition, the user can choose the best hardware solution for the task from the EyeCheck sensor series and the PC-based EyeVision platform. The EmSys controllers are particularly well suited, as they offer fully integrated lighting control and I/O capabilities.

The ChipControl command set means "zero defect production,” reduced production time, improved quality and productivity, and ultimately increased customer satisfaction.
