Anritsu verifies smart antenna technology used by MediaTek
Anritsu and MediaTek have verified Smart AI Antenna Technology in MediaTek's M90 5G Modem by using Anritsu's Radio Communication Analyzer MT8821C.
Smart Antenna, which has been developed by MediaTek, is an advanced antenna technology that supports body proximity sensing, AI gesture detection, and 24% faster low-band uplink throughput with power and antenna tuning optimisation functions and will play a crucial role in innovations in Advanced 5G and 6G.
Anritsu supports verification for these functions by the MT8821C, designed for R&D into mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets and IoT modules and chipset. It supports all technologies, ranging from LTE-U/LAA/Higer order MIMO/LTE-Advanced to 3G/2G, with its easy-to-use measurement functions for efficient RF adjustment and testing in one device.
This advanced smart AI antenna technology will be demonstrated at the MediaTek booth together with Anritsu at MWC 2025, where visitors will be able to see how smart AI antennas can enhance the user experience.
