Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that the University of Sydney, Australia, selected Agilent's high-value DSO1002A oscilloscope for its physics labs. The lab upgrade ensures students have access to the most current, and sophisticated, electronic test equipment in the industry. The university's School of Physics is focused on quantum science research.
University of Sydney's School of Physics was looking to upgrade its current fleet of oscilloscopes when Agilent had just launched its new family of high-value instruments. The university chose Agilent's high-value DSO1002A oscilloscope because of its suitability as a teaching scope. The economical pricing, together with the 20 kpts memory per channel and wide QVGA LCD screen, made it an ideal purchase for use in a lab environment. More information on the Agilent DSO1002A oscilloscope is available at www.agilent.com/find/dso1000a.

Scopes are an essential piece of equipment for physics students and experimental physicists, said Dr. Richard Tarrant, director of first-year laboratories.

Agilent recognizes the talent of the University of Sydney's physics researchers and teachers as well as the outstanding caliber of students who have worked hard to achieve a place at the school, said Alan Brown, general manager of Agilent Australia. It is a great feeling to be able to provide Australia's oldest physics department with the latest equipment.
