Seica at productronica 2019
At every show, Seica, a global supplier of automatic text equipment and selective solider systems, aims to present a new product to the industry, and productronica 2019 was no exception. At the show, the company showcased two new solutions; one is a new ICT in-circuit tester, and the other is a new battery tester.
Despite some murmur in the industry of in-circuit testers going away, the company has chosen to introduce a new one. The new ICT in-circuit tester has the goal of automating a manual solution and bringing that automated out through a cobot or robot, as well as reducing the amount of time the process takes for loading and unloading boards.

Batteries are a hot topic at the moment, and as a result of this, Seica has developed a new battery tester. Geared towards batteries in electric cars, the new technology speeds up battery testing for electric vehicles. Instead of being a standard flying prober with individual probes, the tester has a new flying prober with multiple probes on one head, probing on the battery. This cuts the text time a reported four times, reducing battery testing time down to seven seconds.
