At electronica 2022, on the Digi-Key booth, Paige West speaks with Marta Barbero, PRO Product Manager, Arduino about Arduino PRO solutions, the difference with respect to traditional Arduino products, the target market they’re addressing and some interesting projects that Arduino have developed.

Arduino designs, manufactures, and supports electronic devices and software, allowing people around the world to easily access advanced technologies that interact with the physical world.

Arduino is well known in the maker market. For instance, many people want to develop their own robots or irrigation system. "We have this simplification, we have this creativity coming from the maker world, and we would like to have the same in the industrial world and into the enterprise world.

"So we tried to bring all these concepts together, and think about a way to democratise technology even more into the enterprise world and in a way that all these programmers, that were actually makers in their free time, can also be developers, and engineers can leverage the same knowledge whilst using them in the enterprise where they're with our solutions," said Marta Barbero.

Marta explains why Ardunio Solutions are so unique. Usually people are approaching Ardunio because of the simplification of its products, and because they want to get their solution to market as quickly as possible.

"So at the beginning, they can start with fast prototyping with our boards because they are perfectly suitable for those kinds of applications. At at the same time, they can multiply the number of devices and the number of boards with the same user experience as before," explained Barbero.
