AI Academy to upskill 10,000 by 2025
Corndel, in partnership with Imperial Executive Education and supported by Microsoft, has launched The Enterprise AI Academy which will skill 10,000 professionals in artificial intelligence by the end of 2025.
Recognising that AI is only as powerful as the data that fuels it, the academy combines cutting-edge AI education with essential data skills – ensuring enterprise organisations can confidently drive innovation, efficiency, and compliance. Delivered through Corndel’s proven human-centric approach, it provides employees with hands-on learning tailored to real-world business challenges.
Companies that embrace this shift now will gain a critical competitive advantage. Corndel research shows 61% of employees haven’t received any AI-specific training and research by Microsoft & LinkedIn shows employees are taking things into their own hands. 78% of AI users are bringing their own tools to work missing out on the benefits that come from strategic AI use at scale and putting company data at risk. Without structured AI training, businesses risk falling behind as employees struggle to harness AI’s full potential.
Enter a smart collaboration between one of the largest AI companies, one of the world’s leading universities for science, technology, engineering, medicine and business, and the UK’s leading provider of professional workplace training.
“At Corndel, we believe that AI is not just a tool – it is the future of work, and businesses that embrace its potential will drive innovation, efficiency, and growth. Our AI Academy is designed to equip businesses with the skills needed to integrate AI effectively, empowering leaders to make informed decisions and teams to apply AI-driven solutions that deliver real impact,” said James Kelly, CEO of Corndel. “With the power of Microsoft’s innovation and Imperial’s world-leading research and insight, we are ensuring that businesses are not just AI-ready but AI-driven.”
“AI is already transforming industries, and upskilling professionals to work effectively with these technologies is a global imperative,” said David Brown, Director of Executive Education at Imperial Executive Education. “Through this groundbreaking collaboration with Corndel and Microsoft, we are creating a new standard for AI education that balances rigorous academic learning with practical business application and ethics.”
Speaking at a Corndel event, Simon Lambert, Microsoft UK Chief Learning Officer, shared Microsoft’s vision of AI as a transformative general-purpose technology that is not only generating significant demand for new human and technical skills, but is creating a whole new dimension of work, redefining not just where and when we work, but who we work with – humans and artificial intelligence collaborating side by side.
“At Microsoft, we recognise that AI is reshaping industries and creating unprecedented opportunities for innovation. However, to fully harness its potential, organisations must invest in developing AI skills within their workforce,” said Simon Lambert, Chief Learning Officer at Microsoft UK. “This initiative with Corndel and Imperial exemplifies our UK commitment to empowering professionals with the necessary expertise to thrive in the AI-driven economy and, drive economic growth and competitiveness.”
