Senet & IotaComm to deliver wireless networks for smart infrastructure sensors

   Senet and Iota Communications a low power have announced a partnership to deliver LoRaWAN through both 915MHz unlicensed spectrum and through IotaComm’s  800MHz FCC-licensed spectrum network connectivity. The initial use cases will be focused on smart building, smart city, and critical infrastructure applications. With this collaboration, and in addition to its use of the Senet platform for application and device management, IotaComm has also become a Senet Radio Access Network (RAN) operator and Senet LPWAN Virtual Network (LVN) participant, adding coverage to one of the fastest growing LoRaWAN network in North America. Octopus-inspired glove lets users grip objects underwater

A team of researchers have developed Octa-glove – a device capable of securely gripping objects underwater. The glove is designed to perform the same function as a sucker of an octopus. Compliant, rubber stalks capped with soft, actuated membranes are capable of adhering to flat and curved surfaces. Read more.

Inova ILaS technology agreements by NXP and Microchip

Inova Semiconductors has announced that NXP Semiconductors and Microchip Technology have entered into technology agreements for the use of Inova Semiconductors’ ILaS (ISELED Light & Sensor Network) protocol in their microcontrollers, for automotive applications. The ILaS network enables a fast and highly efficient, packet switched communication between the Microcontroller as initiator and the connected clients - in both directions and throughout the car via single pair UTP cable.
