Advanced Energy launches advanced solutions for RF power sensor calibration

Advanced Energy – a global leader in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions – have announced two new high-performance, high-accuracy technologies for RF power sensor calibration.

The TEGAM 2818A is a 9 kHz to 18 GHz power transfer standard, while the TEGAM PMX18-CS is a turnkey 9 kHz to 18 GHz system that significantly simplifies and accelerates power sensor calibration.With an integrated USB port, the 2818A operates without a separate power meter and applies proven TEGAM transfer standard techniques to an internally-referenced thermoelectric sensor to support high-speed, high-accuracy calibration with minimal equipment. Calibration constants are stored within the sensor, eliminating the need for additional electronic storage media. Read more.

PreAct Technologies announces Mojave

PreAct Technologies has announced the release of its Mojave LiDAR as a high-performance, low-cost sensor solution to address a variety of applications including smart cities, robotics, cargo monitoring, education & university research, building monitoring, patient monitoring, agriculture, and much more.

Vishay VCSEL-based reflective optical sensor

The Optoelectronics group of Vishay has introduced a new reflective optical sensor for industrial, computer, consumer, and mobility applications.

Saving space compared to previous-generation solutions — while delivering improved performance with a higher current transfer ratio (CTR), increased sensing distance, and lower power consumption — the Vishay Semiconductors VCNT2030 features a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and a silicon phototransistor in a miniature 1.85 x 1.2 x 0.6 mm surface-mount package. The device features a compact construction in which the emitting light source and detector are arranged in the same plane. It offers excellent internal crosstalk suppression due to the VCSEL's narrow ± 17° emission angle, which also enables improved proximity performance behind cover glass. The VCNT2030's analog output signal at the phototransistor is dependent on the amount of light emitted by the VCSEL and reflected off an object in the sensor's field of view. The device offers a sensing distance of 15 mm, which is three times higher than the closest competing device on the market. Read more.

World’s smallest subminiature flange mount reed sensors

Littelfuse, Inc. announced the release of its newest products, the 59155 and 59156, which are the world’s smallest subminiature flange mount reed sensors.

The sensors' design provides compact size, contactless activation, and customization options, making them suitable for a wide range of tight-spacing applications across different industries.Littelfuse introduces the most miniature flange-mount type reed sensor available in the market, measuring only 12.70 x 9.00 x 3.00mm (0.500 x 0.354 x 0.118") with normally open contacts. The sensors can switch 120 Vac/170 Vdc at 10W. The case design allows mounting with an M2 screw at 0.1 Nm torque maximum or adhesive mounting. Read more.
