EtherCAT terminal centre stage at Sensor + Test 2022

The ELM3002-0205 EtherCAT measurement terminal is designed for high-voltage measurement on batteries, generators and motors. It supports the four measurement ranges of

+/- 60, +/-120, +/-500 and +/- 1200V. It is particularly suitable for applications in the fields of electromobility and renewable engines.

The EL5072 EtherCAT terminal (pictured) enables direct connection of up to two inductive displacement sensors, including transducers in LVDT and half-bridge designs or inductive angular position sensors in the RVDT version

Precise position and distance measurements, for example, in the context of process control or the control of joining processes can be solved in a compact, finely scalable and cost-effective way. The EL5072 measures 12 mm wide for space-saving installation in the standard EtherCAT I/O system.

The TwinCAT analytics software offers a complete workflow from acquisition of data through to its storage and analysis to dashboards for continuous machine monitoring. Traditional condition monitoring algorithms are also available in TwinCAT analytics using simple configuration with no programming requirements.

This addition optimises both the standard workflow and spontaneous measurements during machine commissioning or service.
