DDR4 BGA probe interposer solution enhances scopes
Keysight Technologies has introduced DDR4 ball-grid array (BGA) probe interposer solutions for its Infiniium Series oscilloscopes. Engineers can use the probes and oscilloscopes for debugging and characterising DDR4 memory designs and testing device compliance with the JEDEC DDR4 standard.
Keysight Technologies gears up for European Microwave Week
Wideband signal generation and analysis and research on 5G and mmW communication are just two of the test technologies and solutions that Keysight Technologies will bring to its show debut at European Microwave Week in Rome (Oct 7-9). The test and measurement company will host workshops and demonstrate test solutions in four key areas: aerospace and defence, device characterisation, simulation using Keysight’s Advanced Design System (ADS), ...
Agilent S-series oscilloscope comparison
Watch this short comparison video from Agilent to see how the Infiniium S-series oscilloscopes compare to the Teledyne LeCroy HDO series oscilloscopes.
Observing inrush current to avoid power conversion failure
Inverters provide ‘simple’ power conversion but can be susceptible to failure if consideration to inrush current isn’t observed, explains Mehdi Samii, Vice President of Engineering, Ametherm.
LabVIEW 2014 speeds data acquisition, analysis
The month of August always sees National Instruments usher in the latest version of its LabView systems design software. LabVIEW 2014 standardises the way users interact with hardware through reuse of the same code and engineering processes across systems, which scales applications for the future. This saves time and money as technology advances, requirements evolve and time-to-market pressure increases.
Using jitter analysis and real time eye
Watch this video from Keysight Technologies to learn how to use the jitter analysis and real time eye features of the InfiniiVision 6000 X-Series oscilloscopes.
Software supports P25 transmitter compliance testing
A cost-effective compliance transmitter test solution for the Project 25 (P25) Common Air Interface (CAI) Phase 1 and Phase 2 standard has been introduced by Tektronix. The new software gives RF test engineers and safety agencies push-button measurements with automated pass/fail reporting and runs on Tektronix spectrum analysers, Tektronix Windows-based oscilloscopes, and on SignalVu-PC linked with the MDO4000B Mixed Domain Oscilloscope Series.
Recorder captures tunable IF signals up to 360MHz
A recorder, capable of capturing a wide band of signals in real time to disk, has been introduced by Pentek. TheRTR 2729A, designed for Talon RF/IF signal recording and playback systems, is equipped with a3.6 GHz 12-bit A/D converter. With its DDC, the recorder can capturetunable IF signals with bandwidths up to 360MHz continuously, for over four hours.
Mixed signal oscilloscope gets memory, firmware upgrades
Yokogawa's DLM2000 mixed-signal oscilloscope has been enhanced with longer memory capabilities and a number of firmware improvements. In the new version, the length of the acquisition memory has been increased up to 62.5 Mpoints in the standard unit and up to 250 Mpoints with the extended memory option.
Seminars aim to help engineers save money on energy bills
A series of free Power Quality Seminars are now being offered by Fluke as part of its programme of seminars for 2014 throughout the UK and Ireland. The seminars have been designed to help Facility Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Energy Consultants and Power Engineers to save money on energy bills and increase machinery lifetime.
