Power modules suit CAV applications
Powering high power circuits controlled by a CAN Network, the Cube modules have been released by ERNI Electronics. The modules are suitable for use in harsh environments with power distribution systems that require the ability to control relays and monitor fuses and relays.
IXYS Introduces The New High Performance DT-Triac Technology Platform
IXYS Corporation announced the expansion of the product portfolio of the new “Dual Thyristor –Triac” technology platform (DT-Triac)
Switching modules debut at AUTOTEST 2014
Pickering Interfaces launched four new switching modules at AUTOTEST 2014. These products include a new PXI signal insertion and monitor matrix, and updates to their PXI microwave multiplexers, PXI high-density large matrix BRIC range and PXI fault insertion switches.
PiFace gets a makeover
The PiFace Digital and Control & Display has been updated and a new series of exclusive Raspberry Pi accessories has been launched by element14 following the launch of the Raspberry Pi model B+ this July. The PiFaceDigital 2 helps to sense and control real world applications. It allows the connection of switches, lights, motors and more to the Raspberry Pi allowing it to interface with the world around it.
Photovoltaic couplers come in small SO6 packages
Toshiba’s new photovoltaic couplers TLP3905 and TLP3906 are available in SO6 packages at distributor Rutronik. Due to their extended operating temperature ranges and increased isolation voltages, they are ideal for use in measuring instruments, as MOSFET gate drivers or the replacement of mechanical relays.
Coaxial switch designed to switch a microwave signal
Designed to switch a microwave signal from a common input to any three, four, five or six outputs, the CCS-19 series coaxial switches have been unveiled by Teledyne Coax Switches. The broadband multi-throw, electromechanical coaxial switchis available in Commercial and Elite models with temperatures ranges from -40 to +65°C and -55 to +85°C, respectively.
RF & microwave switching modules exhibited at EuMW
Exhibiting from stand 162 at EuMW (European Microwave Week), 7th to 9th October in Rome, Pickering Interfaces will present their PXI and LXI Ethernet RF & microwave switching solutions portfolio. Including multiplexers, matrices and general-purpose switches ranging from low-level DC signals to RF and microwave, the switching solutions can be used to increase the flexibility of test and measurement systems with signal bandwidths up to 65GHz.
electronica: Rutronik embraces the future
Rutronik has adopted the motto “Meet tomorrow now!” to describe its stand full of forward-looking components at electronica. Rutronik Embedded will show embedded boards, IPCs, box and panel PCs, memory systems, displays and wireless modules, auto-ID components, and specific peripheral components.
Hi-rel switches target broadcast applications
Luso Electronics announces the availability of a new range of high-reliability switches and keycaps from Veetronix aimed at various markets including video and audio mixing-desk equipment and in numerous military and government applications. The 09 series is based on Veetronix’s proprietary technology and offers the advanced features of the company’s existing 07 and 08 series industry-standard switches.
Sensor ICs oust reed relays from battery-powered applications
Honeywell’s Nanopower Anisotropic Magnetoresistive Sensor ICs are now available from Farnell element14. The new ICs provide the highest level of magnetic sensitivity, as low as 7 Gauss typical, while requiring no more than 360 nA. The Sensor ICs are smaller, more durable and more reliable than reed switches, operating with the same sensitivity for the same cost.
