Epoxy adhesive cures as low as 110°C
Formulated for disk drive, camera module, optoelectronic and circuit assembly applications, Engineered Material Systems has announced the 535-10M-49 UV cured epoxy adhesive. The material contains a secondary thermal cure initiator that cures as low as 110°C for shadowed areas.
In-line fibre polarimeter unveiled at OFC 2014
Phoenix Photonics will unveil the Polarimeter as part of its expanded Firebird instrumentation range at the OFC 2014 exhibition in San Francisco (March 9-13). The Phoenix In-Line Fiber Polarimeter complements the popular FireBird range allowing for measurement of SOP changes. The instrument provides for minimally invasive polarisation analysis in fiber systems.
Focus spot size and position monitor for high power lasers
At Photonics West 2014, Ophir Photonics have announced the latest version of BeamWatch. This is a non-contact, focus spot size and position monitor for very high power YAG and fibre lasers used in material processing applications, such as automotive and aerospace manufacturing.
Precision AFEs for Current Measurement are available for analog ASICintegration
JVD announce the availability of a second critical piece of IP for Analog Front Ends. Following the announcement of the SCi310 Current to Voltage Converter in January, JVD, in conjunction with Systemcom, has made available two additional IP blocks designed for conditioning signals from sensors where the generic information about the phenomenon being detected, whether light or other physical or chemical or electromechanical apparatus, passes the f...
Laser sensors measure power, position, size and energy in one device
Unveiled at Photonics West 2014, the 1000W-BB-34-Quad is the latest addition to Ophir Photonic's BeamTrack family. The BeamTrack family is a series of multi-function thermal detectors that measure laser power, energy, beam position, and size in one device.
Hyperspectral imaging sensors showcased at SPIE Photonics West
At the 2014 SPIE Photonics West conference and exhibition, imec showcased its ultra-compact hyperspectral imaging sensor technology integrated into different commercial camera vendor partners. The vendor partners included ADIMEC and 3D-ONE, both from the Netherlands, and SPIE 2014 PRISM awarded finalist BaySpec from the US.
