Motovario Reveals New Heart of Electric Motion with Launch of Advanced Drivon Fully Integrated Inverter Motor Family
Motovariohas launched Drivon, a new generation of inverter motors for today’s most advanced motion application, which features state-of-the-art field-oriented control for optimum motor performances, combined with important safety and protection including Safe Torque Off (STO) and flying motor restart built-in to help minimise engineering overheads and simplify product approval testing.
Oscilloscope soars to 100GHz bandwidth
Teledyne LeCroy is continuing to set the oscilloscope bandwidth pace. Today (Nov 11) at the electronica exhibition in Munich, the company introduced a 100GHz instrument – the LabMaster 10-100Zi. The company says that it has already identified customers for the high-end oscilloscope and expects more to follow as research companies in particular become aware of its capabilities.
Oscilloscope option enhances signal analysis
The R&S RTM-K15 history and segmented memory option expands the maximum memory depth of the R&S RTM bench oscilloscope to 460 Msample per channel. The segmented memory has a variable depth ranging from 10 ksample to 20 Msample, enabling acquisition of up to 45,000 individual waveform segments.
Compliance test software meets MHL 3 specification
Keysight Technologies has introduced compliance test software that meets the latest Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) specification. The MHL 3 source compliance test software allows engineers to test their MHL 3 transmitters the same way they are tested at official authorised MHL compliance test centres using Keysight Infiniium oscilloscopes.
Ben Heck's Apple 1 replica - part 1
Ben decides to take on another retro 8-bit computer project and builds an Apple 1 from scratch. He wires the CPU, ROM, and RAM to a PCB and adds some logic gates for memory addressing.
Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone drivers run data loggers, scopes
Pico Technology has released beta drivers for its oscilloscope and data logging devices to run on the ARM-based BeagleBone Black and Raspberry Pi development boards. The new drivers give programmers access to a wide range of compact, economical USB oscilloscopes and data loggers.
Test solution meets MIPI M-PHY v3.1 specification
Tektronix announced the first physical layer transmitter characterisation and debug solution for the MIPI M-PHY v3.1 specification recently approved by the MIPI Alliance. The new solution includes support for MIPI M-PHY High Speed Gears 1, 2 and 3, PWM Mode (G0-G7), and SYS Mode and can be used with Tektronix MSO/DPO 70000DX oscilloscopes and P7600 series probes.
Partners cook up oscilloscope for Raspberry Pi
The Raspberry Pi accessories parade shows no signs of abating. The latest addition sees Farnell element14 partner with BitScope Designs to manufacture and distribute BitScope Micro, a full feature dual channel digital oscilloscope for Raspberry Pi. Eben Upton, CEO at Raspberry Pi, said: “BitScope Micro is one of the most impressive add-ons for Raspberry Pi we’ve seen. The BitScope team have done a terrific job to optimise their softwa...
Scope bursts through 100,000 waveforms per second barrier
The latest release of the PicoScope 6 software for PC oscilloscopes has a greatly improved continuous update rate of over 100,000 waveforms per second. Pico says this is faster than any other PC oscilloscope, and beats many expensive benchtop oscilloscopes too. The new fast persistence mode is available on all Pico oscilloscopes from the PicoScope 3000 Series upwards with the PicoScope R6.10.2 beta software or later.
