High speed audio testing against limits
The AP High Speed Tester (HST) application is now available for use with the Audio Precision AP2700 Series audio analyser. The new application was originally developed to test playback only devices on the production line. The objective was a fast, accurate and easy-to-operate test station with a limited graphical user interface that displayed just test results and had the ability to save results to a log file.
Bench power supply from TTi
The new PL Series from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments) is a range of laboratory DC power supplies which offers the benefits of digital technology whilst retaining true analogue controls for voltage and current. The new product range replaces the original PL series, which has become the most widely used power supply range within the UK electronics industry.
Pulse and arbitrary function generator runs to 25 MHz
TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments) has launched a lower-cost version of the best-selling TG5011 function/arbitrary/pulse generator. The new TG2511 has a maximum frequency of 25 MHz for sine and square waves and costs only £795. It offers similar facilities to the more expensive 50 MHz generator, but with proportionately lower maximum frequencies for pulse and arbitrary waveforms.
Portable combined TV and spectrum analyser covers frequencies from 100 kHz to 3 GHz
Now available from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), the new Rohde & Schwarz FSH3-TV is a hand-held spectrum analysers incorporating measurement functions for analogue and digital TV signals.
PowerFlex 840 W dual power supply adds flexible interfaces
The new CPX400DP is the latest in the CPX series of PowerFlex regulated power-supply units from TTi, and is the first to incorporate digital remote control interfaces.
Optical spectrum analyser for measurements on LEDs and laser light sources
The Yokogawa AQ6373 is an optical spectrum analyser designed to carry out measurements over the wavelength range from 350 to 1200 nm, including the visible light spectrum from 380 to 780 nm. In addition to its world-class optical performance in areas such as resolution, accuracy, sensitivity, measurement speed and dynamic range, the AQ6373 features a colour analysis function which makes it ideally suited to measurements on LEDs and laser light s...
FTDI unveils VINCULO, a powerful development platform for embedded systems requiring USB 2.0 connectivity
USB silicon and software specialist Future Devices Technology International Limited (FTDI) announced Vinculo, an embedded development platform inspired by the popular Arduino Duemilanove / Uno. The Vinculo platform allows designers to integrate powerful USB 2.0 interfacing by incorporating FTDI’s Vinculum II VNC2-64 dual-channel USB Host/Slave controller with the capability of interfacing to the growing range of I/O application boards (shields...
Quad Independent Resistor Networks with Guaranteed CMRR Matching of 0.005% from -40°C to 125°C
Linear Technology introduced the LT5400, its first family of precision matched resistors designed for high performance signal conditioning applications in difference amplifiers, precision dividers, references and bridge circuits.
Linear Technology Commemorates 30 Years of Analog Innovation
Founded 30 years ago, Linear Technology Corporation commemorated three decades of innovation in analog integrated circuits. Founded in September 1981, at the dawn of the digital revolution, some questioned the wisdom of founding a company focused purely on analog technology. Over these 30 years, the worldwide analog market has grown from $2 billion to over $40 billion today, and Linear has prospered with that growth.
DC/DC Converter Delivers up to 600mA with Spread Spectrum or PLL Operation
Linear Technology has announced the LTC3543, a high efficiency, 2.25 MHz, synchronous buck regulator that can deliver up to 600mA of continuous output current from a 2mm x 3mm DFN package. The LTC3543 can run in either a constant 2.25MHz frequency, spread spectrum or synchronized phase lock loop (PLL) mode, offering multiple choices for very low noise operation. Its current mode architecture operates from an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, m...
