Visible fibre lasers for super resolution microscopy
With a wavelength range of 520nm to 780nm, and comprising of four different models, LASER COMPONENTS has introduced Lumibird‘s visible fibre lasers (the CVFL series). The design is composed of an all-fibre laser cavity emitting in the IR range and a frequency conversion module which converts an IR laser to a visible laser.
Custom thin films for wafer coatings
Upon customer request, LASER COMPONENTS can coat substrates with diameters of up to 390mm, including, for example, wafers that are required in microchip manufacturing and other industries. The blanks may consist of silicon, fused silica, N-BK7, or other glasses.
Production facility for detectors in the USA
It has been announced that LASER COMPONENTS has begun laying the foundations for the future with the building of its new production facility for detectors. At the end of April, the ceremonial setting of the cornerstone for the new 26,000 ft² building took place in Chandler, Arizona.
AI technology creates a calm workplace environment
It has been announced by Murata that KENKO technology, an innovative AI emotion monitoring solution created in a joint development between Murata and TEM is being rolled out to the Japanese market. KENKO is a cloud-based AI technology that integrates with different kinds of biometric sensors embedded in wearables and other IoT products.
Reliable infrared laser diodes in SMD package
For the first time, it has been announced that Arima is offering laser diodes for the NIR wavelength 940nm in an SMD package. The following two product versions are available from LASER COMPONENTS: ADL-94Y01IY-F1 and 94Y01EY-F2. The main difference lies in their package design.
Compact, affordable laboratory splicer family
It has been announced that LASER COMPONENTS now offers the following splicing units: FITEL S185PM and FITEL S185HS. With these models, the manufacturer Furukawa has started a new product family with inexpensive, compact models for special applications.
Family of high-power single-mode diode lasers
It has been announced that LASER COMPONENTS is distributing a new family of high-power, single-mode laser diodes by Sheaumann Laser in three millimetre (C3), four millimetre (C4), and six millimetre (C6) chip-on-submount lengths. The C6 provides up to 650mW average output power at 1064nm. The 980nm C3 and 785nm C4 reach an average of 500mW and 450mW, respectively.
Digital driver with USB-enabled microcontrollers
It has been announced that LASER COMPONENTS now offers a digital laser driver for driving and monitoring selected FLEXPOINT laser modules. The microcontroller is connected to the module via USB or RS-232. Important operational settings such as output power, trigger, pulsation, and modulation can be programmed by the user according to requirements.
Laser barriers designed for easy installation
Two new products have been announced by LASER COMPONENTS, designed to act as a solution where beam stop is required. Made of EverGuard, a black anodised, light-diffusing textured material, Bench-Guard laser protective barrier system panels provide a simple, low-profile solution when a temporary or permanent beam stop is required.
