Analog Devices' Data Conversion Technology Enables MRI Systems To Provide Exceptional Image Quality
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans provide extraordinarily clear images of the human body and are commonly used to diagnose a wide range of illnesses and injuries, such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancerous tumors, and torn ligaments. Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), the leading provider of data conversion technology and longtime collaborator with the medical imaging industry, today introduced a breakthrough in data conversion that gives c...
Silentium Uses Blackfin Processors To Bring Active Noise Cancellation To A Multitude Of Applications
Analog Devices announced that Silentium Ltd., developers of spatial & broadband active noise control (ANC) technologies, has selected Analog Devices’ Blackfin processors to power their ANC products. Utilising low cost, powerful Blackfin processors for their core ANC technology, the S-Cube™ Controller, Silentium is able to deliver more than 10dB (A) broadband noise reduction covering the entire audible range and, in addition, deliver from 100H...
Analog Devices’ Webcast Presents Design Techniques for Reducing Power Consumption in Industrial Designs
Analog Devices, Inc. will broadcast its latest webcast “Design Techniques for Reducing Power Consumption and Harmful Thermal Events in Industrial Designs” on October 19, 2011, at 7:00 pm. Using a typical analog module configuration, the presenter will show how to calculate the maximum ambient temperature a system can tolerate based on maximum output load requirements.
High Gain 10 MHz Digitally Programmable Instrumentation Amplifier
Designed for data acquisition systems, automatic test equipment and biomedical instruments requiring fast, accurate measurement with robust signal conditioning over large voltage ranges, the AD8253 digitally programmable instrumentation amplifier is able to reach gains of 1,000 while offering dc precision and ac bandwidth unmatched by other in-amps or discrete solutions on the market. A large gain setting allows small signals, such as those from ...
Analog Devices expands its Blackfin processor family
Analog Devices is expanding its Blackfin line with the ADSP-BF52x family, a scalable series of processors optimised for performance-demanding portable applications including portable media players (PMPs), voice over IP (VoIP) phones, IP cameras, and mobile TV devices. Advancing the Dynamic Power Management capabilities of Blackfin to achieve the line's best power efficiency yet (as low as 0.16mW/MHz core power at 250MHz) these newest processors ...
14-bit high-speed octal ADC will save space and power in portable medical products
Analog Devices' latest family of octal ADCs are ideal for portable medical devices and ultrasound machines where lower power consumption and smaller board space are critical design considerations. The 10-bit AD9212 and 12-bit AD9222 consume less than 100 mW per channel, yielding savings of as much as 5 to 6W when compared to competitive offerings in ultrasound systems containing up to 512 channels.
Clock IC provides all critical timing functions on one chip
Analog Devices is introducing what it says is the the industry’s first clock IC to combine low phase noise clock generation with 14-channel clock distribution at jitter levels below 1 picosecond. The AD9516 series integrates an integer-N synthesizer, two reference inputs, a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), programmable dividers, adjustable delay lines and 14 clock drivers, including LVPECL, LVDS and CMOS.
Analog Devices Introduces Industry's First Fully Isolated Industrial CAN Transceivers
Analog Devices has expanded its industry-leading isolated interface product portfolio with two transceivers that are the first to isolate both data signals and power for systems using the CAN (control-area network) communications bus. The ADM3052 and ADM3053 use ADI’s iCoupler digital isolation technology; the ADM3053 also includes an isoPower integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter, reducing component count by up to 80 percent compared to ...
