ADI honours top suppliers at Inaugural Supplier Day 2019
Analog Devices (ADI) recently hosted its inaugural Supplier Day event to honour and recognise its suppliers. Held at the Hyatt Regency Boston, the event brought together 100 of the semiconductor company’s top suppliers for a day of recognition, celebration and relationship building. A total of 18 awards were presented for outstanding performance and contributions.
Linear variable filters for hyperspectral imaging applications
LASER COMPONENTS offers linear variable filters, whereby either the centre wavelength of a bandpass, or long/short pass edge increases along the length of a part. Each wavelength is a function of position on the substrate.
Photovoltaic indium arsenide sensors in TO-46 style package
LASER COMPONENTS is a manufacturer of photovoltaic indium arsenide sensors. From the development and manufacturing facility in Tempe the company provides businesses all over the world with these field proven quantum detectors. The semiconductor material absorbs incident IR photons creating electron hole pairs which are swept towards external electrodes by the internal field within the diode.
Silicon APDs for photon counting
Detecting the smallest amount of light is important in many medical diagnostic applications. Photomultipler tubes (PMTs) are widely used but are sensitive to magnetic fields and require a high operating voltage. Over the last six years avalanche photodiodes (APDs) have started to displace PMTs because they are cheaper, have longer lifetimes, use lower operating voltages and are insensitive to magnetic fields.
Fanless in-vehicle workstation launched for ADAS applications
Vecow have announced the release of its latest powerful and rugged in-vehicle elite, Vecow IVH-9204MX ICY Series Fanless Embedded System. The series is powered by workstation-grade Intel Xeon/Core i7/i5/i3 processor, fully compliant with EN50155 & EN45545-2, has secured data protection, power protection, and all-in-one integrated functions.
Pump combiners for fibre lasers and amplifiers
Lightel’s high-power pump combiners are mainly used to combine the power of several multimode lasers and thus obtain delivery and pump fibres with a high output power. At LASER COMPONENTS, these passive components are available for applications with up to 37 laser sources and total powers of up to 8,000W.
Custom high-power fibre bundles
LASER COMPONENTS now also offers fibre bundles for high-power, lamp-transmission and high-temperature applications. LASER COMPONENTS uses fibre-fusing technology for assembly, which allows fibres to be configured into a fibre bundle without the use of adhesives. This prevents the typical dead zones and the adhesive gap between the fibres in the end face area.
Pyroelectric detectors for NDIR spectroscopy
A car full of people can soon lead to the build-up of CO2 to a level where the driver can be come drowsy, creating a safety issue. Of course, it is possible to ventilate the cabin all the time but at full speed this is neither a comfortable nor an energy efficient option.
Low noise single photon counting modules
Capitalising on expertise in the manufacture of silicon avalanche photodiodes (APDs) since 2004, LASER COMPONENTS produced the COUNT series of single counting photon modules, with unrivalled quantum efficiency of more than 70% in the red region with dark counts of less than 10cps.
Laser Components wins ‘Best of Sensors’ 2019 Award
LASER COMPONENTS has been named a ‘Best of Sensors’ 2019 Award winner in the Automotive/Autonomous category. The company’s QuickSwitch Pulsed Laser Diode (PLD) was recognised as one of the Innovative Products of the Year 2019 which highlights advancements and achievements that are moving the sensors industry forward.
